I eat at the Grille AT LEAST three times a week and I am always extremely satisfied. Most importantly, the FOOD (which is what I am really interested in) is ALWAYS GREAT! New City Grille is a great place to see and be seen. Don't go if you don't want to see people you know!!! It is most definately the "NEW" HOT SPOT in OLD METAIRIE. As for the person that posted the comment about the shrimp - might I suggest that she ask for the owner Derrick Todd, he is almost always there. By the way, I too get frustrated when a restaurant is out of something that I wanted to order; however, I tend to take that as a REALLY good sign that the food is really good as I want it to be. Hello, dealing with the "HUMAN FACTOR" here??? I highly recommend NEW CITY GRILLE!!!

Our group really enjoyed New City Grille. Our server was a charismatic young lady who spent extra time visiting with us and explaining the menu. The owner came over and checked in to make sure we were happy. The interior is understated elegant, with wood tones, warm lighting and comfortable seating. The tables are spaced wide enough apart so you feel some privacy. There is valet parking and the Metairie Road area is old time charming. The menu choices had certainly a variety enough for everyone to be satisfied. Our group will be back.

We were told that the kitchen was out of shrimp. One hour later, I saw shrimp being served. When I discussed it with the manager,he did nothing. It was a smost frustrating experience, particularly, because it was my Birthday. When the manager doesn't give you any satisfaction, it says alot about the restaurant!
