One of our favorite go to barbacue joints. Food and service are always consistently excellent!

On the way to Cherokee, NC, we encountered Pop's Butts On The Creek and decided to stop there. My friend bought a T-shirt from the gift shop and after viewing the menu, we chose to stay there to grab some dinner. The location is really nice with both outdoor seating and screened in dining as well. Our server was helpful and suggested putting any 3 sides together for an appetizer. We chose the hush puppies, Mac and Cheese, along with the fried pickles. They came out quickly and also included a couple of slices of grilled Texas Toast. The hush puppies and pickles were amazing! The Mac and Cheese was a little dry but still had plenty of flavor. For dinner, I ordered the All-American Brisket Burger with a side of fries and my friend ordered a side of baked apples. My burger was delicious! The fries were plentiful but lukewarm at best. Had they been hot, their taste would have been so much better. My friend liked and enjoyed her baked apples. For dessert, she ordered the banana pudding and I ordered Pop's Bread Pudding. Both desserts were huge and really tasted good! They were a wonderful way to finish off dinner. I also recommend the fresh lemonade as it was refreshing and great! This is a hidden gem in Maggie Valley and I highly recommend seeking it out on your next trip to West North Carolina! It's worth it!

Best food any where around. BBQ could almost melt in your mouth. And the mustard sauce wow. Bought some to bring home.😋❤

I had the brisket and it was absolutely delicious. Very tender and juicy. Theresa was our waitress who was very nice. Definitely will be eating here again. Hoping to see alcohol on the menu soon!!!!
