Reading the reviews, my wife and I were really looking forward to our visit to General McArthurs. Walking over to the buffet, I wanted to try the fried chicken I had read about and picked out a thigh. I noticed these huge ribs close to the chicken and picked one of those. Dang, I couldn't wait to taste that thing. picked out some cabbage, looked for mashed potatoes and didn't see any. Got me some Mac-n-Cheese... Passed up the veggies as they weren't looking that good. Sat down and grabbed my huge rig and bit into it and it was hard as a brick. I could not even rip a piece off that bone. My wife got one also and bit into hers and it was just as tough and hard as mine. I ate the chicken thigh and it was just average. The only thing I ate that was good was the mac n cheese. Even the peach cobbler was below average. Absolutely nothing looked really good, except those unedible ribs. There were just my wife and I and we had 1 cola each. Our bill was $36.72 plus $5 tip = $41.72. That isn't affordable... Very, very disappointed. We have eaten at, The Main Table and Golden Corral in Laurinburg and love them both plus they were both less expensive.
