The service is slow and uninterested. The menu is overpriced for tapas dishes ($10.95/ea at least!). How can diners experience the variety of offering if each 'small plate' is priced like an entree? Also, the barrel that serves as the table base is bulky and awkward. There is no reason to try this restaurant. Find better Spanish cuisine options in nearby JC.

I am not one to write reviews, in fact this may be my first one, but my experience tonight warranted a review (and I'm honestly not easily turned off) . My boyfriend and I went here to celebrate his birthday (keep in mind 'party of two') and upon arrival had to wait about 5 minutes or so until we flagged down a waiter and told him we were interested in finding a table. He wrote our name down on a scratch piece of paper, red flag #1. Reg flag #2 came when the bartender asked if we were looking for a table and proceeded to write down our name on a different piece of scratch paper. So after waiting for about 20 mins (we were told the wait would be 5-10), we were told they were preparing our table, which actuallly had been cleared when we walked in. The waitress came over to get us and as we walked to our table we were surprised to find a couple seated there. Apparently the drunk owner decided he would seat people as they came in. This would not have been a big deal except that they in no way offered to make the situation better for us (ie. "here's an appetizer on the house while you wait" or "we will kindly explain to that couple that this seat was actuallly for you"). After being told it would be another 20 minute wait, which was a complete guess, we decided to find dinner somewhere else. Despite our less than desired visit, the prices were fairly high and in my opinion the menu doesn't have a lot to offer. I've been to tapas restaurants that offer a variety of innovative and fantastic plates for half the price. This menu offers mainly meat dishes and is quite different from the menu on hobokenmenus.com. (sorry I had to rate the food, i'm sure it's good, I put a 5, but I honestly have no idea)
