User Reviews for Scend's Restaurant josh simpson posted on 04/06/2013 Rating & Review: Scends is a family-owned, family-run restaurant and I swear by their fried chicken, gumbo, greens and hospitality. This place has the heart of a lion, the soul of a small-town church and the flavor of a grandmothers kitchen. I dine in when I have the time - the small bar is a neighborhood institution and the dining room is kid friendly. Authentic Oakland experience!
