4 Star? It should be 5 Star. I can't complain about a single thing. The food was to die for, very cheap, the waitresses were not only attentive but very friendly. And the owner was out in the diner laughing with the waitresses and counter customers, and made sure to personally thank us on or way out. This is a very homey place, I don't see how anyone could dislike it. We can't wait until next time.

Have mostly visited for breakfast with some friends, at least 5-6 times over last couple years, and a couple times with my husband recently. We have been very happy with our food and serving size. I read previous reviews, some that were bad were 2 years ago. I would recommend trying again. I believe they have improved and place is much cleaner than previous owners. We stopped going because of quality of food and cleanliness of previous owners. My friends and I stay for hours visiting and do not feel that we are unwelcome. Yes, sometimes waitress may be too friendly, but better than not!

Wrong main course,lumpy mashed potatoes,over-mayo-ed cole slaw,wrong reworked bill,and over-friendly waitress made for disastrous evening

I eat here a couple times a week. Portions are very big. The prices are good. They have many daily specials. Food is way better than with the previous owner. There is something for everyone. The wait staff are very attentive and make you feel like family. I would definitely recommend 4 Star Diner.

This restaurant had good food but annoying rude waitresses. Ours kept coming over and bothering us with coffee even though we told her we did not want anymore. I asked her for syrup for my stuffed french toast and she told me it was rich enough, why did I want syrup?? I happen to like syrup with my french toast. The french toast was labeled as stuffed,.It was NOT! It was a mess of french toast with canned apples on top and globs of creme cheese. It was awful. I ordered a side of sausage too and they put it on my full plate. I had no way to cut it until I was done with my fen ch toast and by that time my sausage was cold. We had no silverware even though our waitress had just bussed all the other tables and put silverware on them. Then at one point, the waitress patted me on the back. Big mistake. You don't touch customers!!!! EVER!!!! and if she would have called us dear or sweetie one more time, we would have thrown up. My husband's sandwich was okay but not worth going back for. Was so disappointed because we LOVED Baconsburg and will never come back to this restaurant and will make sure all our friends know how disappointed we were!!!!!!!!!! As we were checking out the girl DID NOT say one word to us. She looked annoyed. She threw my change at me and I said "YOUR WELCOME" and she said, oh--Thank You! Well it was too late!! So rude! Don't visit this restaurant! You will be disappointed!

This is my favorite place to eat!! I am a regular there. I eat there at least 3 times a week. The food is great and the staff is on top of everything!! I love going there. It just feels comfortable. Like home!!

We have eaten at 4 Star Diner at least 6 times in the past month. The food has always been very good. The prices are not bad, dinner for 5 cost $46.00 the last time we dined there. I have tried the chicken Philly sandwich, the chicken parm, the Reuben sandwich and the country breakfast skillet...all have been very good.

I tried this place to hope it would be as good as the place before,well i was wrong,me and my wife waited 10 minutes for a cup of coffee,our lunch we had was cold,the service didnt care,hopefully things will get better for this place.

First time I was in there and the food was good. No complaints here. Plus it is very clean and nicely decorated. I will go back.
