The new location in OKC (near N May Ave and W Britton Rd in the old KC Blues BBQ restaurant) is atrocious; absolutely abominable. As bad as the service was (one waitress and one counter person also trying to help wait on tables) the food was worse! First of all, I don't think the BBQ is authentically smoked. The brisket looked and tasted like a boiled roast, stringy and lacking flavor. The chicken-fried-steak was inedible, a low-quality untenderized round-steak that had been overcooked to a jerky-like crisp. The apple pie looked so unappetizing (I think it had been microwaved several times) that I sent it back without the need to taste it.<br />

I do not live in Guthrie but have been working there for a couple weeks on a temporary assignment and had been disappointed by the quality of food available there. I've eaten at Boneyard Grill a few times for lunch and the food is excellent. Each time I got the daily special. One day I got the bbq burger and it was great. Another time I got the chipotle pepperjack chicken sandwich and it was excellent. Today I tried the smoked sirloin sandwich and it was just fantastic. It was a generous portion of smoked sirloin thinly sliced and served on a toasted hoagie bun with swiss cheese. I will definitely visit the Boneyard Grill anytime I go back to Guthrie.

This place is wonderful! The food is excellent. I am not a huge BBQ fan so I got the chicken and YUM! I would not hesitate to suggest this to anyone as a good place to eat. Just don't tell everyone, we don't want the place to packed out.
