Very pricey for takeout and very small proportions

I ordered fish and chips at this place. Well they were horrible. Dry, dry frozen garbage. I took my first bite and realized I had made an awful mistake. The waitress picked up my empty plate and never asked why I didn't eat more than one bite of fish or one bite of the "chips". When I asked her why she didn't even ask why I didn't eat my dinner, I had to ask her if she wasn't even curious. She said OK, what is the issue. I told her the fish was dry and asked if the "chips" didn't come from a frozen bag as well as the fish and she said yes. This was sold to me as a gourmet restaurant. Frozen pre breaded fish and frozen French fries out of a commercial sack is not my idea of gourmet.

I assumed I would be offered another something to eat or at least some sort of adjustment on the bill. NOTHING. When I asked the manager why, he said that was my problem, there was nothing wrong with the food. As. Visitor from outside Canada, I was unsure what the ramifications would be of not paying for at least my bill. Again as a visitor to the country, I didn't wish to create a scene, though I deserved better treatment. The manager could have cared less. I let him know he should be ashamed of himself for treating visitors or anyone for that matter in such a fashion. He understood that I am not a big loss for him as a visitor. He knows I will never be back, but I'm on a mission to see that NOBODY EVER GETS BURNED THE WAY I DID.

If you want to do yourself a real favor, STAY AWAY. Save money and frustration. I went as I read the revues. Usually right on. I know that restaurants face issues. I know that they can make a mistake as well as I can. IT ISN'T THE PROBLEM THAT'S THE PROBLEM, IT'S HOW YOU HANDLE THE PROBLEM. This restaurant was willing to throw away it's reputation on a $10.00 order of, and I really use the term loosely, fish and chips. My meal was the least expensive at the table.

Be smart, save your money and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE AND ENJOY YOUR MEAL.
