Came here all the way from Sarasota. Met the owners and a couple of others down here a while ago.
Needless to say we finally made it up to Canada for a visit. We made it a priority to stop here in London for a night.
Unfortunately the night at the Tasting Room didn’t measure up to the owner’s hype.
Slow service, luke warm food, and general disorganization by staff made the visit less than enjoyable.
Could have been a bad night for the staff… I don’t know… but the experience was only worth 2 stars…

First time here. It was a bit chaotic tonight. Got our order messed up. It was very inconvenient and really tested my patience.

My husband and I came in for dinner. I had the beef tenderloin, and he had the grilled ribeye. Both of them were far overcooked from what we asked… med rare…
Very disappointed.

The food was phenomenal. The server friendly, courteous and entertaining.
I would highly recommend eating here if you are staying in the area. It's a short walk from the hotels in the area.

I'm really confused about the reviews below. They seem to talk about parking being poor, and the waiting staff being a problem. As someone who has been going here a few times a year for the last 15 years, I'll chime in.
Parking: It's downtown London. No s**t parking sucks, it's London. Anyone asking for valet parking should grow a pair and realize there are 2 lots within 2 minute walking distance of the restaurant. If it's that much of an issue, take a cab to drop you off. People are so whiney.
Staff: I have yet to see any staff member be a problem; either by being rude, slow, drunk (as some people in the reviews claim), or anything else negative. They are always on top of your drinks ensuring you're always topped up, extremely nice and friendly, and most of them are pretty funny to talk to to.
As for everything else: The food is phenominal (having tried roughly half the menu), the atmosphere is solid but the music can sometimes be a tad too loud, and it's always a lively place. Overall, this is my fiancee and my favourite place to eat every year, and I'm weirdly dumbfounded by the negative reviews here. They feel, bot-like.

I swear our server has an alcohol problem. Didn’t get her name, but she had glasses, blonde, and probably used to be very pretty. She’s just worn down from all the drinking.
She slurred her speech thru the entire dinner. We tried to pretend we didn’t notice. I was concerned she might turn angry and turn the dinner into a bigger trainwreck than it already was.
We will never be returning again. Sorry.

Our server was in pretty rough shape - very hungover. I get it, everyone in this establishment is pretty much a ‘partier’, word gets around…. but seriously?? We arrived at 6pm. You really should be sobered up by this time. If not, give up the shift and let someone who hasn’t been drinking take it… instead, they worked and ruined our night out.

When we arrived for dinner there was a young man behind the bar who was openly smoking! Since this restaurant is relatively small, the smoke was ‘wafting’ over to our table. We asked the server to get the young man to put it out, but we were told it was the owner’s son, and he pretty much does whatever he wants… even if it breaks city codes.
We got up and left right after that, and will never be coming back.

Service was very bad. Our server was very arrogant and full of herself. She was also doing shooters with the bartender thru the dinner hour.. I don’t care if it was her birthday, drinking in the middle of a shift is unprofessional.

Parking is a real problem for this place. I brought my parents here for an anniversary. I wasn’t aware of how far it was to walk from a city parking garage to the front door of the Tasting Room.
They should offer valet service.

I paid $46 for the grilled ribeye. I asked for it to be med rare, and it came well done. I sent it back and about 5 mins later it came back out looking like it had just been dunked in the fryer. It appeared juicier on the surface but it was now “over done!”
The chef must be an imbecile or something. I sent it back again and wanted it off my bill. A floor manager named Carl or something came over and made the worst attempt at an apology. Not the brightest bulb in the lamp.
This place looks good on the website, but it’s a joke when you go in person.

I would have enjoyed our meal more if there was closer parking or valet. I walk with a cane, so the trip from the car to the front door was a 15 minute ‘trudge’.

Service was not good. Food took a long time to get to the table. When I tried to complain some manager named ‘Paul’ came over and started arguing with us. The man actually tried to ‘gaslight’ us!

I decided to pick up my take out rather than using Skip The Dishes because I heard they are charging the restaurants an arm and a leg. What a mistake that was. The lack of parking at this place (especially in the winter) is brutal. Last time I ever do a favour for this place.

Was told to try this place out before the lockdown. I heard a ‘mixed bag’ of reviews but I wanted to see for myself. Needless to say I was not impressed. Like many of the other reviews that complained about ample, close parking not being available.. I concur with that complaint. The meal was very basic. Nothing I couldn’t have done myself… and I’m no chef. I think the owners need to reevaluate whether they should be running a restaurant. Lack of effort, lack of creativity, and lack of passion seem to be rampant in this establishment.

I understand parking is an issue, but there should be something that compensates the guest for this. Either completely validate the parking or do some sort of valet service. I wouldn’t have an issue paying if my car was valet’s. Parking for this place is too far away, and too treacherous in the winter.

My friend and I had the grilled ribeyes. We specifically asked for them to be med rare. They came well done. The server argued with us saying we asked for them well done. After a few minutes of arguing we just sent them back, finished our drinks, and left. This place was pathetic. We will never be back.
