used to be a customer of your Woodstock, Ontario location. My group of friends and I try to meet up there once a week and our table will be anywhere from 4 to 15 people. We drink and eat. Usually the total of all the table's bills is well over $200 sometimes much more. I guess my bad experiences started around a year ago. I have made a list of all my complaints that I will include in this email. They say the best kind of advertising is word of mouth and I know for a fact it can make or break a business.

1. A year ago I was in the location and ordered a vodka/soda with lime. The piece of lime was less than a cm in thickness, when I asked the bartender, Paul for more, he returned to my table with a side plate with several wedges on it proclaiming "Is that enough?" RUDE

2. After this first incident I stopped going there for awhile until the spring, I visited the location in May and ordered a Paralyzer. The drink came and tasted skunky, like the milk had gone sour. When I informed the bar staff of this they argued the milk was fine. Another drink was ordered and was once again skunky. DISGUSTING

3. Once again after this incident I didn't return to the location for a few months. At the insistence of my friends, since the bar is centrally located in this city, I returned. I had a couple good experiences, then on September 26 when I was there I ordered my usual, a vodka/soda/lime. The drink came to the table and when I took my fist swig could tell there was no vodka in it. The drink was passed around our table and everyone agreed it was a virgin. With a drink like vodka/soda the taste of the vodka is not covered up. I returned the drink to the bar and Paul made me a new one. It makes me wonder if I hadn't noticed how many times they have done this and also if they would have indeed charged me for the missing vodka.

4. EVERY time we are there the servers and bartenders ignore our group, sometimes not checking us for over a half hour and when they do they have bad attitudes and would be considered snotty. Also if we drink the same mixed drink all night, they will make our subsequent drinks in our dirty, already used glasses, leaving the old ice and limes in tact...once again DISGUSTING and also against health code. One last issue for this section is that in the Women's bathroom, none of the stall doors lock, which I am pretty sure is another code violation.

5. November 14 when we were in the bar my friend and I ordered vodka/sodas. YET again there was no vodka in the drinks. When I returned these drinks to the bar Chrissy argued with me and I asked her to smell and taste them. When she tasted them with her own straw she agreed they were alcohol free. The night manager,Chris Derbowka brought fresh drinks to our table, which we were charged for and continued to argue with me that he had made the drinks and assured me the vodka had been in them. I informed of Chrissy's agreement that no alcohol had been in them and also told him they had lost my business as a result of this being the SECOND time this had happened.

6. So yesterday, November 28, when my friends decided they wanted to go there I told them I would never go there again, they had tried to rip me off twice. So my friend gave the owner, TJ McNamara my number to phone me and speak about my issues with the establishment. Because I was at work,I had to let him go on the phone. He told me to come in and receive a couple of drinks on the house for my troubles, to call him back or go speak to Paul the bartender. I was still reluctant to return to that bar, but after heavy pushing from my friends went there at approximately 9pm. When we arrived I proceeded to go speak to Paul as instructed, who started (excuse my language) to give me sh-t for complaining about those drinks saying he never made them and he wasn't there when it happened. I told him that he had in fact been the one to give me a virgin drink the first time and he continued to argue with me and said everyone makes mistakes. When my vodka soda was brought to my table there was a rocks glass and a shot glass with liquid in them. When I asked what the shot glass was for, Paul said my vodka was in it so I'd know it was in my drink, which my table agreed was an ignorant, RUDE act. A friend of mine that arrived the same time as me had been sitting for approximately 15-20 minutes talking with the group. When he went up to the bar to order a GINGERALE, they started giving him a hard time and refused to serve him. He is a person known around her for his mental illness. They said he had made a scene the last time he was there and repeatedly told him he was 'sketching out'. If someone was not welcome there they should've told him when he arrived, not after he sat in there for a period of time. When the staff was approached concerning this issue, they said he had a made a scene awhile back and that 'he couldn't even keep his eyes open and we can't have people sleeping in here', trust me BJ's eyes were wide open the whole time. After he left a dark haired female staff approached the table immediately after empties had been removed from the table. I asked her to leave our table alone to which she very snottily replied 'this chair is in the way I'm moving it out of the aisle' I informed her that the people that had been sitting there hasn't left, just went outside for a smoke. She marched straight up to the bar and demanded that Paul prepare our table our bills. When Chrissy came over to inquire who wanted their bills I told her nobody did, the other girl had freaked out when I asked her to leave our table alone. She then got snotty, so I informed her that I would be calling Obsidian Group today. She replied, 'I don't need threats", to which I stated, "that's not a threat it's a promise". She returned behind the bar and I overheard her telling Paul what I said. I left right around this time.

After last night, I and my money will not be returning to Crabby Joe's, and I have relayed these customer service horror stories to others that have had similar experiences there, such as them skipping the alcohol. I'm not sure what needs to be done to rectify these things, but I do know Crabby Joe's Woodstock is garnering a bad reputation amongst Woodstock's citizens.
