After 4 years of us going to wacky wings, I can honestly say at this point this restaurant has to be the most disrespectful, dishonest, ungrateful place myself and my girlfriend have attended. There are many different reasons I can point out as to why we are feeling this way, I’ll try and make this short. My girlfriend and I have been going to wacky wings for 4 years now and every week we end up going at least once. Needless to say, the restaurant sees us a lot and has learned to know a little bit about us. Notably the reason we kept going was because we love the food as well as the menu, and that’s how we became regular customers. We had multiple birthday parties there in the past. For the past 3 to 5 months, we’ve been noticing quite a change in the customer service provided at your location. A lot of the times we’d order, it was incorrect, some food would be missing, the bill wouldn’t coincide with the order and the list goes on. The first time this happened we thought it was a one-time thing but as it started being a regular thing, the situation really started upsetting me. However, enjoying the location, my girlfriend applied at what she thought was her favorite restaurant (“wacky wings”) and when she got an interview she was overly excited. That day she went to her interview and everything was going amazing, she got told that she got the job! The interviewer proceeded to tell my girlfriend she’ll to go to the back room where she would get her a new uniform. Once the employee came back, she advised my girlfriend that she will have to interview other candidates and that she would let her know. In my opinion, that’s unprofessional behavior and extremely disrespectful, there was a lack of consistency in the information provided. I was sitting in the car patiently and comfortably until one of your supervisors saw me in the parking lot in my car while my girlfriend was having her interview. That’s when I noticed that I was being looked at weirdly, I thought it was awkward and suspicious but didn’t overthink it and decided to let the situation go. A week after the disappointment my girlfriend faced, I decided to take her to her favourite restaurant (“wacky wings”) to cheer her up! Upon our arrival, the same employee that was staring me down the day of the interview was working at the bar. Once again as soon he noticed me, he couldn’t stop staring at me. He stared at me nonstop for over 2 minutes until my girlfriend and I got seated on the patio, at that point I really felt uncomfortable. I decided to politely ask the waitress who this individual was and I got told that he was a supervisor. She out of curiosity asked me why, I then explained to her that I felt very uncomfortable that he kept staring at me every time he saw me creating unnecessary tension. The waitress explained to me that she would feel the same way if the same thing happened to her but the reason the supervisor kept looking at me was because my girlfriend and I are ban from the restaurant. I was shocked, we were never told such thing, we started asking ourselves how we could be banned from our favourite restaurant especially after being regulars for 4 years. Once the waitress came back, I decided to ask to speak with the manager and the supervisor that was looking at me very rudely. She was nice enough to bring us back inside like I asked, to make my request possible. As soon as I walk inside the restaurant, I could tell Sean the general manager wasn’t happy at all, I asked him if it would be possible to talk to him about the situation that’s going on with that supervisor and to understand why my girlfriend and I are banned from the restaurant. Being that the supervisor was working at the bar at the time of the conversation that my girlfriend, Sean and I were having he must’ve overheard. Sean told me let’s have a seat, the supervisor then started following us and Sean told him to go take a hike and pointed to the bar for him to go back to work. Extremely disrespectful in my honest opinion, for one, telling your employee to go take a hike in a very rude way and secondly, for seeming uninterested and upset while a customer is interacting with you. Let’s not forget that I’m a customer that kept going to your restaurant 4 times a month, 48 times a year spending over 50 dollars each time. Regardless we sat down and I started expressing everything that had been going on, he rudely cut me off and started telling us quote on quote “this is a business, I need to keep the doors open, I can’t keep giving out free food, we are always calling because something is missing or wrong”. Sean saw how strongly I felt about the hole situation and decided to tell me “I’m not scared of you” and that he doesn’t like the tone I’m using. Seemed pretty odd to me because I’m a director at a college, which means I’m always in meetings with different people addressing different topics and never have I had a complaint. I was shocked with his perception of me. I asked him to tell me if his staff throughout the years ever had an issue with my tone or behaviour, he told me yes, at this point I was so shocked that he used my frustration against me. I then asked if the employee was here and if yes who is it because that’s a complete lie, he ended up calling another supervisor by the name of Curtis. Curtis and I always have good conversations, we always made jokes, the last interaction I had with him we were talking about how great the restaurant was doing with their income (40 to 60 Thousand a month). He ask Curtis if he ever had an issue with my behaviour or tone, to which he responded, yes. At this point I got up and told Sean that “he trained his staff very well to the point that they have to lie in front of costumers in order for them not to get fired”. My girlfriend and I left. 3 weeks later, a friend of ours planned a dinner at the restaurant, celebrating a graduation. My girlfriend and I went to the restaurant and didn’t have an issue at all everything was fine. Now a few days ago we end up going back to dine in again (business hours everywhere online says, the restaurant closes at 1am) we arrived at 11:45, we got told by a gentlemen that we can’t dine in because they close at 12. We left quietly and as we are walking out, this girl with very long eye lashes rudely shouted in front of everyone “it doesn’t matter at what time we close because they are banned anyway”. We are constantly asking ourselves questions about this situation to the point that we are wondering if this is a racial problem. If 0 was a review option at this point I would of definitely selected that as an answer! I’m very disappointed! I never write reviews, I could of wrote a review sooner but decided not to, however, enough is enough and something like this should get addressed in my opinion.
