we decided that we wanted Chinese food tonight. we normally get Jack Lees but tonight we tried Rubys after seeing a good review on here.
placing the order the woman on the phone was extremely friendly and polite and offered a time frame of when the food would be ready to pick up and even said we would get a phone call when ready. we did infact get said phone call and we got the food home and when we started unpacking everything i noticed that the portions were very small and i thought maybe they mixed the order up. i called to confirm and i was told that the portions were correct.. we ordered the dinner for 6 and the container of chicken balls had 8 in it. same woman on the phone (again super polite) advised me that the portions we got were correct and everything is as it should be. so now im upset she started saying something but i did not want to hear it so i hung up.
dinner for 6 and one extra plate came to just under $100 and the food was terrible. the chicken balls tasted like nuggets from mcdonalds, the chicken in the chow mein was dry ( the dish is basically water lol ) the general tao was just disgusting the sauce was the consistency of maple syrup and very sticky and the chicken it self was like they took the chicken from the chow mein and breaded it and fried it and then breaded and fried it a few more times. the won ton soup looked like dish water and smelled like dirt. most of the food was very bland tasting.
over all im not complaining. im just sharing our experience. i dont want them to fix anything because as she said our order is as it should be. i dont want free food im just putting this here to let every one know what what we went through and if i can save someone from wasting $100 why not.
