Upon entering the restaurant the environment was already a turn-off - the whole place smelled like rotten food and the floor was sticky. I ordered two dishes. The appetizer was fried in greasy oil but I accepted that it was restaurant food and I ate it. The satay beef noodle, however, was unbelievably salty and I had a hard time eating it. The owner seemed nice at the beginning, but upon telling him that the noodle was too salty, he offered to "water it down" for me which I rejected. I requested the dish to be changed and he offered to bring it back to the kitchen and have it tasted and I said yes. He then came back and started yelling at me. First he told me the dish "wasn't salty at all, and it was made like this for more than 30 years", raising his voice, pointing his finger at me and said "he has seen many customers like me", and being triggered by his condescending attitude I left my seat attempting to stand up for myself, which resulted in him calling his wife from the kitchen to gang up on me and make a big scene because they know that as I am from an East Asian background I would likely back off from their bullying. Of course, as they wish, I paid for my meal, left the noodle dish I hardly touched on the table and left the store. Btw, the owner also attempted to take a picture of me as I was ready to pay and leave the store, and I had to ask him to show me his phone and to delete my picture. Everybody in the store at that time witnessed this ridiculous fiasco they created. I just moved from Toronto to Kitchener, and I actually went to this place because of the positive reviews I read on Google for their customer service - even though I also noticed some customer complained the dishes they ordered were "inedible" but because the owner was "too nice" they didn't complain. Now I've got to tell you, I tried it out for you guys with my own experience, if you ever complain about their food, you will be threatened, humiliated and abused. They will harangue you until you pay for your meal even if you are unhappy with it and then they will tone down their aggression once again. All they care about is money, not their customers. Lowest class of people I've interacted with in years. Will ask everybody I know to avoid this place at all cost.
