In my opinion the best Mexican restaurant in Orange County for both food and environment. I love to explore hole-in the wall dives - this is not one of those. It's a large airy restaurant - rumor is it used to be an Islands Restaurant - with tropical motif and Mexican families around the tables.
Unusually good fresh tortillas. Varied menu specializing in seafood, but all kinds of other things as well. My favorite menudo anywhere - deeply flavored but not greasy (weekends). Also great pozole.
Seafood comes in all the ways you'd expect at a mariscos place, but you can also order anything simply sauteed.
Comfortable place with a full bar. Particularly good for bringing groups of people.
