I've visited Twisted three times since the new ownership. The first two were major disappointments - place was much dirtier then before. Terrible sewage smell from coming from bathrooms, flickering lights, staff who was bothered you were there. And the place was literally empty.

Didn't want to go back again, but the pool table made me give it one more shot. This time there were a ~4 people at the bar, all who were friends with the bartender/staff. One girl didn't seem in her right mind - slouched on bar, saying nonsensical things. The bartender had music playing from a portable speaker. They served us beer in old plastic sports cups with the year 2017 on them. A decent sized bug ran across the bar.

It felt like we were in the staff and their friends' hangout place and we weren't welcome. At one point two of them started screaming at each other. Overall vibe was trashy.

It used to be such a great place to get food or drinks with colleagues and friends. They had stellar food and good service, now the place is casting a bad light on the restaurant scene in Indiana.

Horribly disorganized. Poorly run. Won't be open long.

We followed the signs saying "Enter ➡️➡️➡️" and walked into a completely empty dining area *at dinner time.* There was no staff to be found. Waited for about 10 minutes at the hostess stand, even walked back to the kitchen entrance to see if we could flag down someone. Not a soul in sight. We finally walked over to the bar side, where all of the staff was congregated behind the bar socializing. We were the only customers in the entire place.

Their menu changes since reopening are completely stupid. They used to offer one vegetarian burgh-style sandwich - the Cheese Trio - which has since been removed from their menu. Really? WTF?! They literally have all of the ingredients to make it, it's the same all of the other burgh-style sandwiches, but without meat. My husband asked the waitress if they could make one, which she assured me they could.

We could here her talking to the cook about it, and she explained it perfectly. But what came to the table was not a burgh style sandwich... instead it was a grilled cheese, with a side of coleslaw, and a side of fries. Completely disappointed. But it took so long for our food to be brought out, I didn't bother sending it back. Seriously, it's not rocket science... just make a burgh-style sandwich, but don't put meat on it.

The staff seems generally demotivated... they continued socializing by the bar the entire time we were there... complaining about the morning shift, management, and general workplace drama. One employee even stated he'd rather "clean up human vomit" in their "dirty restrooms" than "deal with all the secrets." Yep. Way to keep it classy. 👌🏻

All in all, disappointing visit. This was our second time being there since they reopened a few months ago, and it seems like providing an underwhelming experience is par for the course. We were hoping our lackluster visit last time was just due to their staff being new, but it seems like the problems are at the top and the staff is just lacking guidance from management.

Fingers crossed they close and Indiana gets a Primanti Bros. instead of this low rate wannabe.

One star because zero isn't an option.
