Dolce Vita is my favorite restaurant in the greater Harrisburg area. I have never had anything less than an excellent meal there! The veal dinners are a treat, and the other items on the menu are all excellent, too. The atmosphere is cordial, and host Nino is friendly and attentive to every need. And, with BYO, you won't spend a lot for a great meal.

We recently held our daughter's rehearsal dinner at Dolce Vita for 30 people. The food was very good and the service was great. We had eaten here with the groom's parents in January 2010 to decide what items to choose and we weren't disappointed. The parking situation could be better and the sidewalk coming up from the back parking lot is in disrepair. The gentleman who owns this place is passionate about what he does.

I just return from the restaurant and was not pleased with the experience. My wife and I went there with our future son-in-law's parents to discuss a place for the rehearsal dinner. There was no warm feeling whatsoever. The food was OK, but not great. I felt that we should have ordered our dinners at a drive-thru window so as to not take up "paying" space. It took a while for various aspects of the dinner to occur such as receiving our salads, dinner, and finally the check. Once we got the check, it was time to go. We didn't order dessert and only one of us ordered coffee, and there were no refills offered. Once I stood to leave, the chair was literally removed from under me. The prices were moderate, but as they say, you get what you pay for. Consider "Tavern on the Hill"...
