The other night I ordered the scallop plate. The menu said it was served with assorted vegetables. I requested that the scallops be cooked well done. They were grilled lightly and raw inside. I sent it back and requested once again to be grilled well done. The small portion of vegetables that were served with the scallops were cheap. They consisted of finely diced turnips, squash. baby onions and shaved carrots with diced potato. People do not consume whole baby onions. They are used in cooking primarily for flavor. These vegetables are the cheapest vegetables around, not what one expects in a restuarant of this reputation and caliber. Vegetables served in an expensive restaurant should consist of a medly of broccoli or broccolini, mushrooms, asperagus, zucchini, green beans, or the like, perhaps some snow peas would be nice. One doesn't pay $28.00 a plate for this kind of food and get srved the least expensive vegetables on the market. We have been long time customers. We realize times are tough, but cheapening up dishes by serving inferior vegetables on an expensive platter is not the way to go. You have just lost long time customers who are native to the area. also, the wine served was warm.
