Restaurant Description

Inviting atmosphere - the Thai food here is exceptional !!! I’ve had the Pad Thai w/shrimp a number of times-flavorful and the shrimp is always so tender !! Service has always been attentive; however I do go after the main rush to enjoy the service and quiet- highly recommend trying 🌹🌹

I've been coming to Tom Yum Thai since the late 90's and it's always been very good to excellent.
Last night my son and I came in for one of our usual meals and all was well, untill my son, going for seconds said, "is that a hair in the rice"?,
I prayed that it might be a crack in te bottom of the bowl.
NO SUCH LUCK! It was a hair.
YUK!!!!
Thankfully it was in the very bottom of the bowl. All night I kept wondering how many hairs I might have ingested.
Please have the cooks wear hairnets!

My husband and I love having such a good Thai restaurant in our neighborhood. We have never had anything we didn't like. The price is very affordable and the service is good. Worth going to!

We love having Tom Yum's restaurant in our neighborhood. We have been eating there for over 5 years and have always had great food. We usually always order take out and the portions are amazing.

Decent Thai. In a city that has outstanding Thai choices this location stands out as one of the better take-away locations around. The servings are generous enough for dinner and lunch the next day. Several of the specialty items are unique and it is the only Thai restaurant in the Woodstock area.

We've loved the convenience of a neighborhood location, despite a major lack in atmosphere and somewhat slow service. So, we've done take-out a lot! After last night's experience, we'll never patronize this restaurant again. We phoned ahead (without a menu in-hand) to order "fresh spring rolls" (the way we've ordered at dozens of Thai restaurants in numerous cities around the country). We didn't notice until we came home that the rolls we received were fried. When we called back to say there'd been a mistake and we'd like to bring these back for the kind we wanted, the woman on the phone knew immediately what the problem was, explaining that Tom Yum's "fresh rolls" are called "Salad Rolls" (a fact she hadn't bothered to mention when we ordered). Then she argued with us that it was our fault, saying, "You ordered wrong!" Our feeling is that if it's worth losing a customer over a $4.50 order of spring rolls, we'd rather take our business to someone who cares about making their customers happy.
