Neat dive bar but it still caters to the weird trashy part of Portland. Its not like charming dive bar, it's like every lottery machine is taken by tweakers and you can't stand to get a drink with out f-ck-ng weirdos slamming into you. Even read the other reviews, its the video poker tweaker crowd.

It seems like they way over serve the usual. Its one of those spots that needs to update to the Portland times or shut down. I don't like my neighborhood bar to be a trash hot spot.

I've gone a few times and I don't have meaningful feedback on the food. Trust me the trash customer base experience will ruin your appetite. It seems like the bar tender doesn't care.

I have lived a few blocks away from Rocky's for over 4 years. My daughter and I like to eat here and the 72nd burger is our favorite.

The last time we were in was Sunday August 26th, late afternoon. It was busy and a shift change was happening. We would have just gone home but we were both tired and hungry after spending an afternoon at the pool with my young nephews. So we sat down and ordered two draft beers (which initially the woman who waited on us headed off to get).

When she came back and gave us our drinks and we asked for two 72nd burgers. She then abruptly asked my daughter for ID, which she showed her. Never asking for mine! She then explained she was in the middle of a shift change and it would be awhile before any food could be made. We said that was fine we were willing to wait she then asked for my ID. I explained that I was on my way home from the pool.....etc. No ID on me. I'm 45 (almost 46). I haven't been carded in years and have never been carded at your establishment in all the times I've been in before.

She seemed irritated we wanted to place a food order at what was apparently an "inconvenient" time for her. We then got up to leave and she wanted payment for the draft beers she poured and had placed in front of us. My daughter would have had to slam both beers and I was to tired to walk home to get my ID. So we walked out.

I understand I'm supposed to have ID on me. I was a bartender myself back in the 90's. This clearly wasn't about ID, she didn't want us placing a food order at that time and was looking for a way to get rid of us.

I have always been happy with the service here before and have suggested your place to others. I just want someone to be aware of how we were treated. As it stands now my daughter and I haven't been back.

Thanks for your time.
