Simply the best! My wife and I stopped in for a New Year's Eve early dinner. We did not have reservations and it was 5:30. We did not plan to stay until midnight, and yet they seated us and treated us as if we were special guests - with New Years Eve beads and blowers and all! They even brought a complimentary champaign toast. The meal was outstanding both in terms of quality and price. The service was excellent both in termed of friendliness (thank you Mercedes and maitre dame) and timing. The owner even spoke to us as we left! The two wonderful meals (complete turkey dinner and prime rib), one drink, and one dessert (if you are a chocolate lover, you have to try the choc'lovin-spoon" cake:) and a complimentary toast for each of us came to less than $50.00 -on New Year's Eve!! Never expected that! I highly recommend The 401 Tavern to all who want a casual, very reasonable, very friendly dining experience. You will not be disappointed.
