You can't go wrong with Andino's. Bountiful portions of food, large selection and variety of dinners as well as appetizers. Although it is a little tight it is well worth sitting in tight quarters. My wife and I go once a month and we drive fourty five minutes to get there. Valet parking is available and they are quick, responsible and courteous. We are going this Saturday (06/04/2011) Can't wait!

I fell in love with this place as a student at PC. Awesome italian food without the ridiculous prices. Every time I visit Providence, Andino's is a must!

En mi estadía en la ciudad de Providence, en el mes de septiembre 2010, de todos los restaurantes visitados, las mejores atenciones y la mejor comida.

Since our daughter starting going to college in Providence. We found this restaurant and just fell in love with it and the service is amazing. I am making a reservation a month before going because everyone will be going when we drop off the kids again for another year. Thanks

Went to Andino's for my 50th birthday - food was good but the service was horrible... I sat and watched the MANAGER drunk as a skunk stumbling all over the place.. Last time I was there was for another special occasion several years back and it was fabulous... NOT THIS TIME...

Great tasting food. The salad could be improved, but still was delicious. The food tastes like a little slice of heaven, but it was not little. The portions were huge, giving you your money's worth, but, if planning on making reservations, DO NOT eat a lot the day of your attendance. The meals are big enough for a couple to share one, with a little bit left over. The pasta and seafood was perfectly cooked and tender. Highly recommended! Wait staff funny and attentive.

We have been going to Andino's for the past 11 years and there are not enough words to describe how great the food and service is, especially the cozy atmosphere. We never had a bad meal or bad service.I have and always will recommend Andino's. Five stars to all of you that work there, you all do a great job.

We had a lovely time at this cozy Italian restaurant yesterday. Food was excellent, service impeccable. Met the owner who is by far the perfect host. Checking on and talking to his patrons. Decorated for the holidays it was a mood lifting enjoyable place to have a great meal. Highly recommend.

My husband and I took our son and his fiance here to celebrate their engagement. The atmosphere is very nice. The service was excellent. We started off with calamari which was also excellent. At this point, being our first visit to Andino's, I was very happy with the restaurant, but my meal was awful. I got the Chicken Andino with a side of ziti. The chicken did not taste fresh and I couldn't eat the ziti because the sauce was so bad. If you blindfolded me and asked me to taste the sauce, I don't think I could tell it was spaghetti sauce...it was that bad. To be fair, I tasted the sauce on my husbands ravioli and it was okay. Not good, but edible. Wish we had gone next door to Cassarino. Never had a bad meal there and we have been going there for years!

It's a very small place, and we didn't have a reservation, but got lucky with a cancellation. and got the table by the window. Our waitress was engaging and attentive. Portions were huge and the food was absolutely delicious. We would definitely go back

I have been systematically trying the restaurants on Atwells Ave. Andino's was the 9th. Also the worst meal I have ever had on Federal Hill.
Dinner for 2 VERY disappointing. Their seafood pasta special was huge. Mostly pasta ( not the kind ordered but this was minor) the steamed clams were good and tasted as if recently done. All other seafood ( not much) tasted tired. Scallops that were tough, did not have the sweet taste or texture I recognize at other restaurants or in my kitchen. 3 butterflied shrimp, edible but I thought they were tough. The chopped clam sauce ( not much considering the HUGE pile of pasta) was also tough and lacked any fresh taste to me. My dining guest also felt the same. We declined any doggy bags but were polite.
Waiter was young, seemed inexperienced, slightly rude. WHEN ASKED I told him I found the food disappointing but was polite and when we asked for the check it turned out that the pasta special was $29.99 each. This seemed way out of line with the prices in the menu and rather unexpected. The price was not mentioned to us when we ordered or posted anywhere that was visible to me.
Very disappointing. Fortunately there are so many other very good choices for dining on Federal Hill.

The food was good but the service was horrible. I go to lunch on the hill for business often and I was never so upset about the rude waitress I had. I will never go there again.

I went to andino's this past Sunday afternoon for lunch. It wasnt our first choice but many of the restaurants on the hill are closed on Sunday. Having said that I'm glad my wife and I ened up there. We were seated promptly at a table by the window. Needless to say the food was outstanding down to the last bite. Our waiter was a young man named Steve who was very well mannered, attentive, and clearly knows what he is doing. Overall a GREAT EXPERIENCE!

Andino's was were my fiancee and I had our first date and every year since we have been coming back on June 7th (June 8th this year). The staff from the minute you walk in and are greeted to saying their goodbyes at the end are friendly, professional, and courteous. I do and will always recommend Andino's to all of my friends. Our waiter this year was Andrew and he was phenomenal. He was attentive and aware of whenever we needed anything. He took the time to talk to us and was extremely polite. The manager Tait was equally respectful. You can tell that he looks out for his employees and makes sure his customers are being treated well.
Jeff and I have always come back once a year as a special treat. However, we are getting married in October so we might even break the tradition and come back more often.
Many thanks to Tait as his staff.

Im from washington and was visiting providence to see my son who attends school there. My husband and I stayed at the hilton and asked about where we could get a good affordable meal. They suggested Andino's which is in the little italy section of providence right down the street from the hotel so we went. We were sat promptly. we started with the fried calamari which was the best we've ever had. for dinner my husband had the veal satembacco and I had the linguine with clams. Both were to die for! Our waiter, Steve was very attentive and had a great attitude. we will be back next time we are in providence. For sure!

I grew up in Rhode Island and now live in Texas. I still have family in N Providence, and every chance I get, I hit Andino's (as soon as I land!). While I DO feel guilty for not going straight to visit my Mother when I land, I just cannot pass up the craving for the Calamari and Veal Andino!! If you want a taste of Federal Hill, you have to go to Andino's. The food, service, and atmosphere are like no other!! That reminds, me... I'm about due for another Andino's visit, and I will see my Mom when I'm there too (sorry Mom!!!). Andino's, please don't ever change, I don't know what I would do!!! Your friend in Texas.

This was our first visit to Andino's but it will not be our last. First, we were late for our reservations. We were told it would be a 20 minute wait but we were seated within 5 minutes. The atmosphere was "cozy" and our waiter, Jim, encouraged us to take our time, relax and enjoy. The food was piping hot and helpings were plentiful. Once we tasted my entrees, we were in heaven. The only word that comes to mind is "superb". It was a pleasurable experience and we can't wait to return. I highly recommend this taste of Italy in the heart of Federal Hill.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Andino's!!!!
The Gnocchi and the lobster ravioli are my favorite!!
They are the only dishes I have tried here. Wish I could sway myself into exploring the other dishes, but I just can't!

Without a doubt, the best Italian food on Federal Hill!!
06/20/2008 - MenuPix User
Andino's has great food very much like the food in Italy itself. The portions are sized very well so that they fill the consumer up and the consumer will not feel like he or she has eaten too much. The waiters and waitresses are very efficient and are quick to put your order in and bring it to you. i recommend calling in advance to find out the wait time or to put in a reservation because it is such a popular restaurant. the atmosphere consists of the music of Frank Sinatra and the walls are covered with photos of him and other singers of his time. Andinos is such a great restaurant that i have been numerous times and i am always pleased with my time there.

I have been to many Little Italy's and was looking forward to visiting Federal Hill duiring our visit to Providence. We found Andino's online and it was not a disappointment at all.
The food was fabulous! Our waiter, Steve, recommended the lasagna, and I must say it was the best lasagna I've ever tasted. Steve was a most gracious waiter and attended to al of our needs during our visit.
The outdoor patio was relaxing and it made for an overall most enjoyable and delicious dining experience. We look forward to returning on our next visit to the area.
