Beware of The Gift Certificate Bandit-This place is now closed-former customers were left stuck with thousands of dollars of worthless gift certificates. Channel Ten in Providence has reported he is now running the Checker Club in Pawtucket,RI. I would stay away from the gift certificates!

Disgusted paid $12.00 for a very weak watered down cosmopolitan. ITS NOT Caprricios or the Capitol Grill...are they crazy? Never again! Food was cold..drinks cost more than the meal! Not like it used to be!

We went to celebrate our 10th anniversary to the restaurant. The food was delicious. The attention was excellent by the waiter Linda. The atmosphere was familiar. But, we were very please. We recommend this place very highly.

Have been to Faials many, many times and have always had a great meal. Prices and specials are very good. Agree, Joe could use a personality adjustment.

regulars there until tonight. we go there early to get a set at the bar. tonight the bar hostess was practically telling customers how to get us to leave. The worst part, my husband got food poisoning from the chicken faial. never again

I went with my aunt on Tuesday after hearing good things from my best friend. Their special bread dipping is really nothing special, has a slight kick but no real flavor. I asked if I could get a half order of "littlenecks" the waitress did not check with anyone and said NO. I then asked her if there were really littlenecks and how big were they, She made a sign with her fingers indicating about a quarter size. I said OK if they are that little then I will get them. My aunt ordered a Turkey Club with sweet potatoe fries. Well the club sandwich was a club sandwich, hard to ruin that. The sweet potatoe fries were plentiful and good, but again nothing special. The little necks were not little necks but rather cherry stones and very large. I told the waitress these are not littlenecks, they are cherrystones. She said well I would not know I am alergic to seafood and walked away. I know a quahog should be a quahog, but I really do not like the taste or texture of the larger clams. I tried to eat one and just could hardly gag it down. I called the waitress over and said these are unacceptable. She staired at me like I had three heads. I said OK, just bag them up and I will take them home, cook them and make chowder. No one approached me to see if there was something else I might like, no adjustment was made on my bill. I was hungry, so I ordered a cup of their seafood chowder. It was a shrt of red clam chowder, it had too much spice in it and I think they had taken one of those cherrystones, put a string on it and dragged it through several gallons of soup. Needless to say I will never return. The least the owner could have done was come over and say something positibve, but reading through the reviews I guess he just does not care. Enough bad press and word of mouth and maybe the ecomony will finally get to him.

Got to the rest. At 500 . No reservation told 1 hr wait ,so sat at bar after 1 1/2 hr asked Joe how much longer told 15 minutes waited another 1/2 hr still no table ( was only 3rd on waiting list) never once did he come into bar looking to sit customers. I can't believe that Stephen had a very similar experience to us. We never even got to eat there! First off, let me say that they need to amend their phone message, website, gift certificate and menu with one sentence "Reservations can only be made on Mondays through Fridays and must be made at least one week in advance." That would have saved us a lot of trouble. The host was rude and unapologetic. We were pretty much scoffed at as we were turned away. And this was supposed to be a special family dinner on the occasion of my son's return from deployment. BUT a good note: the live music by Michael Silvia was WONDERFUL! The menu and special gift certificate deals seemed great but if you can't get in and are treated demeaningly, why would one bother to return?

Extremal disappointed, we were insulted by the rude owner of the establishment. He was unapologetic that he was running an hour and a half over when we had a confirmed reservation. He indicated that with "our attitude" he might not serve us, I responded that I did not think his service was very good. He responded that "Service is 20th on his priority list" We left, never ate there nor will we ever go back again!

The evening was Outstanding. We had a party of 10 the food was excellent. The grilled chicken was the best ever!!!! The Calmari was crisp, and large, and tasty with the Faial's sauce. My girlfriend ordered her fish plain and it was coked to perfection. The ownwer came by our table to say hello, and ask how everything was going!!!! Thank you for a great family dinind expierence.

I went last night with my family after receiving a gift certificate for my birthday. This was by far one of the worst dining experiences I've ever endured. The service was horrible. The waitress actually left our table in the middle of taking our order and didn't come back for 5 minutes!! The food was bland at best. No taste to it, pasta sitting in water at the bottom of your plate and cold. I WOULD NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone!!
