Description: Located on beautiful Federal Hill in Providence, Rhode Island, Mediterraneo offers an eclectic blend of cutting-edge atmosphere and creative, traditional and contemporary cuisine with a Mediterranean flair. From the award-winning décor to the full-length French doors, allowing patrons to dine under sunny or star-filled skies, Mediterraneo is indeed in a class by itself. Whether your taste leans towards charcoal-grilled filets, chops, steaks or seafood, cooked-to-order pastas, a selection from Rhode Island's only authentic antipasti bar, fresh salads or made-to-order desserts, you will find the food irresistible. Mediterraneo has more than one hundred and fifty Italian and Californian wines on the wine list. They have been painstakingly selected by the resident wine connoisseur to offer both novice and expert wine lovers the finest complement to their memorable meals. On the weekends, Mediterraneo's second level transforms into an upscale Latin and International caffé-discoteca, well known for its outstanding lighting and sound systems and exclusive velvet rope policy. Truly the place to be. Whether you prefer dinner, dancing or just a drink at one of the beautiful granite and cherrywood bars, a visit to Mediterraneo is truly a memorable experience. Co-owners Gianfranco and Nino Marrocco and Dr. Fabio Potenti invite you to capture the vibrant energy that makes Mediterraneo such a remarkable place.

Just dined at Mediterraneo for my first time using my recent groupon. The food was excellent (calamari was by far the best I have ever had) I cant wait to bring family and friends there soon!

Went for lunch the other day and fully enjoyed my experience. I had the Insalata Mista and added grilled chicken. The lettuce was crisp and the tomatoes ripe. I also treated myself to some chocolate gelato. YUM!

Really poor service. The food was okay. I definitely would not go back even if I was dragged there. We had a very bad experience.

Great Italian on Federal Hill. Great place to go with friends. Service is usually really good and I haven't had anything I didn't like yet.
