I grew up eating this pizza, now I have traveled all over the country 1st place I go when back in RI and my family brings with them when they visit or they have it shipped over nite to me. I love this pizza. It has gotten more pricey but still worth it and as for the girls behind the counter they have always been the same "type". Hope prices don't go much higher because I will have to give it up :(

In 1997 I was about to leave for college the following morning & my best friend brought over a Caserta's pizza as a going-away gift. I had one square of the pizza & that was it. No cheese (W.T.F.?!) & too much sauce! ONLY SAUCE! It was bitter crap & I haven't been back in 13 years. I'm glad to see others share my opinion of this place. Don't bother going.

To those who do not appreciate a true federal hill tradition .. its your loss . i am one of the girls who work at caserta and i am simply tired of hearing rude comments about the food. simply put.. if you dont like it dont eat it. we use top grade ingediants in making our food and have been a rhode island staple for over 60 years and the to those who claim the recipe has changed ... it hasent and it has been in the hands of the same owners for over 25 years. our food is made fresh everyday and we have customers from all around the country.., we have many loyal patrons and we love being able to serve them a quality product .. i wish more peolle would leave more positive comments than negative ones if you dont like it you dont have to write about it
and by the way.. not all the counter girls are ignorant many of us are highly educated and built up relationships with a number of our returning customers .

My heart is literally broken. What was once an Rhode Island institution is now just a pathetic shadow of what it once was. I grew up my entire life eating Caserta, not this GARBAGE. The pizza sucks, the Whimpys suck, the pigs in a blank suck, the service sucks, everything about this place now SUCKS. From the terrible serive to the people working there who don't know how to make a pizza. Caserta is DEAD to me.

Place looks filthy when you walk in,not to mention the girls behind the counter have bad attitudes. Where shall i begin......Pizza is god awful way to much cheese and not enough sauce. It was very dry. Spinach pies are so small now, they used to be bigger and tasted better. Place has changed from years ago. its not the same,They just have the name to make their pizza famous it really sucks!!!

terrible. cheese is considered a topping and costs 5 bucks extra. pizza was like really bad freezer pizza with too much sauce and not fully cooked dough. the whimpy skippys or skimpys or whatever are just gross. this is the first time ive ever left a review about a restaurant. dont let the parking lot lure you in, this place SUCKS

to the woman who said the spinach pie was terrible, its called the wimpy skimpy and its the original spinach pie. The Wimpy Skimpy is the best and the pizza has an amazing sauce with a perfect balance of tomatoe and spice and the crust is so consistent.

so i had gone once before and wasnt too impressed , so i figured i would give it another shot. what a huge mistake. i go in and ask for a pepperoni pizza, the girl says she has a cold one no one ever picked up. if i wanted that one for half price ??? i said no i would like a fresh one. well i waited 20 minutes which is fine but when eating it on the way home it tasted like a re heated pizza. yep they probably just threw that same one back in the oven it was so dry. terrible , i will never go again

The spinach pie should not even be on the menu, it was disgusting.
The cheese pizza was good...nice crunchy crust.
Not enough topping choices. Won't be going back. Husband was disappointed in the changes since he used to go to this restaurant years ago.
