We made reservations for Easter and asked for a table on first floor as my parents are both 97. When we arrived we were told our table was on second floor and no management personnel was working. I must say the food was excellent but the service was terrible. I have only been to one other RI restaurant where I had to ask the wait staff to remove used dishes (1149). Drinks were brought to the table 2 at a time (6 people). Have they never heard about trays? Same when the coffee was served. The saving grace was their valets. Friendly, courteous and even asked which direction we were going to have our vehicle facing that direction-that is service. Lots of restaurants in RI and I just eliminated one from the list.

This is a wonderful restaurant in a great section of Providence. We've been to Constantino's four times from CT and we continue to go back whenever we are in or near town. We have recommended it to friends and family, who have also loved the food, atmosphere, service, and location. Our favorite is the calamari for appetizer and every entrée we've tried has been absolutely delicious. The wine selection is amazing. This is one of our favorites and it's always a treat to dine there.

Completely impressed by this restaurant! The food, service, atmosphere, and location was perfect! I started off with an order of calamari- delicious, and ate an order of gnocchi which was superb. After, I had the calde calde. It was almost like a doughboy, but even better! The hostess, waiter, and bartender were all very accommodating and polite. I sat in the bar, which is always full due to the spectacular experience Costantino's brings people. 5 stars and best in Rhode Island!

Sat at the bar to have dinner on a Saturday night. The main dinning area looked busy the bar had a open seat or two so not slammed but busy. Food was good but I waited 45 minutes from my Caprice Salad to my pasta dish. Male bartender was awful - female bartender who didn't even take my order did more than him. Food was good but not worth the wait and service was sub par - maybe it is better in the dinning room.

My friend & I decided to go to Federal Hill to hear some music, drink some wine and have an appetizer. We've loved Venda Ravioli and they have restaurant service under the name Constantino's throughout the plaza. I get the host's attention and ask for a table for two, which he promptly takes us to. Nice table along planted fencing, tablecloth, etc. We are asked if we want water (tap or otherwise) and we get that, along with some wine. A young busboy brings us some bread & olive oil. The waiter comes to take our order - we are sharing an appetizer of calamari. Within moments, the host runs over to say that he didn't know we were having just appetizers and that usually people like us sit over there, but he isn't going to make us move. From there on out, over the next 45 minutes, we are harrassed by waiter and bus staff- are you finished yet (our plate is half full), are you finished yet (plate is a little less than half full), are you finsihed yet (still food on the plate)... roughly every 5 minutes. Finally, annoyed by being interrupted so often, we say yes, we are finished. Plate is whisked away and instantaneously, our check is on the table. Mind you, there are empty tables near us so it's not like we're taking up space (plus we were at a table for two, not taking up a huge table that some other party couldn't sit down at). We might have stayed and ordered multiple appetizers/wine/dessert, but certainly not after being treated like this. We will NEVER return and plan to tell lots of people about this so they don't experience the same RUDE behavior.

I am writing this because my boyfriend decided to surprise me for my birthday by taking me to this restornte because I share the same last name. We had reservations and he told the woman on the phone that it was my birthday and wanted to have a cake like desert with a candle in it to celebrate. The woman on the phone told him that they don't do that. I didn't find this out till later. That was the first disappointment, the second one was that we sat at the tiniest table with barley any room next to the open window and when we ordered a bottle of sparkling water they left it on the tiny table with no room they should have had a ice bucket next to the table. Needless to say we ordered dinner we had the calamari and I noticed a very fishy taste to it but I didn't say anything and when my boyfriend didn't go for seconds I thought that was unusual so I kept quiet. I ordered the lobster ravioli defiantly not impressive with presentation and my boyfriend ordered the special a rib-eye and he sat there trying to eat it it was mostly fat. He told the waiter "Justin" and he proceeded to say it was like that because it was aged??? I buy better rib-eye at Stop & Shop. So nothing was done about it and it was a waste of 29.00 for the special aged meat! So I'm thinking at the time this is the moment after our meal where they come out with a slice of cake with a candle it in and instead they hand us both desert menu's. At that point we were both disappointed and decided to skip desert. We paid our bill and left the appropriate gratuity and went home only to both be sick. We had stomach aches and the only thing I could think of that made us sick was the calamari that tasted very fishy. What a birthday that was at a restaurant that I have the same last name and I would not be able to recommend it to anybody. I am so disappointed about this and I couldn't recommend it at all to anybody I know.

This is a great place to dine. The service is top notch, the pace of the meal is wonderful, and the overall experience is a 11 on a scale of 10.
I had a chance to share a special evening with my wife over Memorial Day weekend and even though the place was slammed you hardly noticed. The service was great. The staff is awesome. Ashley and Scott both are obvious pros. The food was spot on. My wife is a food snob and this is her favorite dining spot (mine too). We've been eating at Constantino's since July 02. The food is still great. We've dined at many places and the food varies from visit to visit. The food here is always amazing! Enjoy, but be warned this may end up as your favorite restaurant.

We've visited Costantino's Ristorante several times, and each occasion has been an incredible dining experience. Impeccable service, lovely atmosphere (especially in the summer months when you can enjoy plaza dining). Last evening we feasted on a delightful menu - our selections included wonderful appetizers - crab-stuffed artichoke hearts, shrimp, and magnificent Carpaccio, all accompanied by a very impressive wine selection.. We then feasted on melt-in-your-mouth veal, beautifully prepared Chilean sea bass, and a beautiful chicken paillard dish. Pricy, but you get what you pay for, and you get it all at Costantino's. Rave reviews for the staff (thanks, Michael), service, and incredible menu.

We had the most wonderful dining experience here at Cosantino's. From the moment we sat down, the service was impeccable, the food (lobster ravioli) was to die for, and the atmosphere made it the ideal place to celebrate my husband's birthday. We plan on going back very soon.
