We love this buffet

Five or so years ago the place had gone way down hill, but since then it has really improved. I find 10 mins or so after meal changes is the best for getting all the options to your meal. It is fresh, hot, and they keep it coming.
The place is never full when I am there so no waiting, but it needs an advertising manager badly if it ever wants to get the attention it deserves.

The web sight is lacking to put it nicely. No idea what the main draw is for lunch or dinner with the "menu" not working in here. The menu is outdated and seems to not be getting updated. NO pricing for the lunch or dinner menu is shown.
The staff is friendly, but the bus boys are doing too much of nothing. Drinks after the first order should at least be getting filled, or see if they would now like a pop, or coffee, how their meal is going. Old tables cleared. Way too much time standing at the cleaning station doing nothing often for the whole time I am there. This does not stop me from enjoying my meal, but they could probable charge me less if they were not paying for human wall paper.

I hope they really do read this and get their web sight up to date. I don't know if I want to be going for lunch, or for dinner.

I have been eating there for 10 years with many friends and family no one got sick though I never eat sushi or Mongolian bar b q. But I do eat clams oyesters every time and eat their fruit and salads. Always have the seating type my choice. And since one price I can choose what types of food I want and portion. If I want 3 helpings of desserts there is a variety of that too. It has the best food variety excellent . Id choose them over any other restaurant.

Great variety, fish is always perfectly cooked. Fresh vegies. Nice little cold dish bar. People are nice. Pleasant atmosphere. I have been there with different people and members of my family and not one person has ever complained about being ill. Also has a nice sushi bar with a variety if pretty tasty bites. Try it and make your own opinion.

We've enjoyed eating both lunch and dinner at the Grand Buffet a number of times. The place has an excellent variety of food and a relaxed atmosphere.

However, we noticed that within two hours of eating we both were stricken with bouts of diarrhea. But since the dishes looked and tasted so good, we rationalized it as a seasonal fluke. That was 3 months ago.

This time we decided to run an experiment and eat there again. But before we sat down, we both agreed that we were feeling 100 percent.

The results? You guessed it. Within two hours, stomach cramping, and frequent visits to the bathroom.

Moreover, since we had tried and enjoyed just about every dish it has been difficult for us to determine which food item's were the most likely culprits. So in summary, management needs to understand that all of the food must be prepared and delivered hot, above 160 degrees. And customers must be aware that there are many dishes at the Grand Buffet that are quite tasty but are served barely warm.

Although we actually like the place, we have decided not to eat there anymore. As you can surmise, we haven't been too lucky. Furthermore, there is nothing fun about laying in bed doubled over and taking Imodium AD every 4 hours. By the way, her issues only lasted about a day whereas mine lasted have lasted just over two.

We were wondering how many other customers have also experienced similar problems but have never said anything. They really should.

I have been eating at the Grand Buffet since it opened a few years ago. I enjoy the great variety of foods which include sushi, chicken, and of coarse chinese food. My friend and I always look forward to when we come down from Weaverville to eat here. The food is great and well prepared. The atmaspher is relaxing even when it has a full house. The koi pond is a place to stop by on the way out and let the food settle . I hope they never lose their chiefs.

Good food and plenty of it.
i have gone to the Grand Buffet once or twice a month sence it opened. I have never been made ill nor has any one I have ever spoken to. Mostly I am writeing to counter the negative reviews that I saw on this site. I love this place and the food that they serve. I especially recomend the wan-ton soup.

I was very pleased with the food! Everything was fresh and well attended to. The variety and flavors were excellent. There were 5 in our party and we all enjoyed our food. Thank you Grand Buffet...keep up the good work!

I will not even give this place a star.I think it is a number one killer. i have been there twice personally and got sick both times. i know several people who went out to enjoy a nice family dinner and instead the got a stomach full of hurt.if you even think of going to this place then you better plan on being sick for the next 24 hours.you should also bring a barf bag cause you will need it. good luck. you will have better luck eating out of a garbage can, or at least it will be safer and cleaner then you will get from grand buffet.
