In the small town of ida, this is about the closest thing that comes to a sitdown dinner. Unless you count the bluestreak, I really like it here. FOr ida people its like a homey feel to it.

I'm going to disagree with Lisa and Carl. This place is great! It's more a diner than a restaurant, however, so don't go here expecting a fine dining establishment. I mean, it's called the Hayloft. Infer.
Breakfast here is great, and the specials are always a great value. I eat here at least once a week.

Place just downright stinks

I wouldnt even give this place one star! It was terrible! We felt adventurous and looked the place up online..first off we thought it was literally a hay barn and seemed fun. However, when we got there the five by seven doorway shaped like a barn sent off red flags. When inside the dismal interior drab decorations and lack of customers was another flag. Our appetizer was ok if you consider four onion rings and five mushrooms good for what you pay. Our meals were nothing to write home about. Warm lettuce and tomatoes, fries cooked not long enough, cold not crunchy and over all disgusting. When we told the waitress, who seemed less than enthused to be serving, she said she had to charge us because thats what we ordered and we ate some..she didnt even care. Then we decided to try some dessert because we still hungry. NASTY! The chocolate pie tasted like chocolate chapstick, the bread pudding was covered in wierd applsauce stuff. Whenever we asked what something was the waitress said " i dont know, its homemade." Then she charged us wrong and then had the gall to expect a tip more than the the automatic 18% they charge. Dont ever go here!

Large breakfast and lunch selections on menu. Really great value and always ready to please customers. Specials are homemade, giving that back at home feeling. Only neg was some of other customers (regulars, I think) a little too vulgar and loud for my taste. Not quite bar atmosphere, but getting there.
