I want to thank a waiter Cody for selecting my dinner Wednesday . He said he ordered me his favorite and now it is my favorite. Bowtie noodles chicken and broccoli . I will definitely be back because of the great service and my meal was great. I judge the restaurant by The service and then the food. I recommend this restaurant and Cody thank you again

I've visited E.G. Nicks in Lapeer a couple of times and I've never really been impressed, but the last time I visited I was disgusted. It all started with the staff. The waitress we had was disgusting and dirty with zits covering her face. Her name was Charlotte of Shara or something sounding like that. She was rude as well and I could over hear her being snippy to other staff while trying to enjoy the company of my family. The food was cold, and the waitress also touched it with her hands while delivering it to us. We felt rushed out and drinks were never filled. And lastly, as we were grabbing our coats to leave, a little cockroach crawled out of my wife's jacket. We were appalled and will never return to this restaurant again and we advise the same for you.

My husband and l love this restaurant. I give it 4 stars not because its a real fancy restaurant but because we have been there several times and have always been treated very well. We like to sit out in the bar area because of the fireplace setting. The food is always fresh and the steaks are always tender. As a matter of fact we are heading there for Valentines Day today!

The food was over priced for the quality and the service was the worse we've had in years. For example, when we asked for a box for our food, the waitress picked up plates, sat them on another table for 10-15 minutes, then threw the food away. That was just one of many blunders. When we voiced our concerns to the manager, she gave a quick, seemingly sincere apology, and that was all. No offer of a refund or to replace the food. The food wasn't that good so we didn't press the issue, just wrote it off as a bad experienced and decided to never return.
