On December 27th my wife and two friends had tickets to see TSO, so we made reservations at the Palace Grill. When we arrived there was some obvious chaos going on, a question being where we would be seated. We were taken to the back of the restaurant very close to the kitchen (there were other tables available). Shortly after being seated a wait staff carrying a large tray and a tray stand bumped my chair with the stand. The second time it was loud enough that my guest said “are you OK”. We chuckled about it as it continued to happen (trays coming close to the top of my head and my chair being clunked). I did not want this to spoil our time there so didn't complain. We ordered our meals but when it came from the kitchen the person had no idea where to take it, he wandered aimlessly about the other guests until another person in a black jacket came to instruct him. Now while delivering our entries he had no idea who was getting what and while setting the plates, the man in the black jacket states “and it's obvious who gets the large pork steak” (me being the biggest person seated). Then the waiter reached across my guest, bumping his face with his sleeve, and plunked the plate in front of me. I looked up at the two gentlemen, the man in the jacket said “is every thing OK, to which I said what about my wife’s meal? And he said “what was it that she ordered” which we responded, a soup! He then said “hasn't that been served already”? At which the waiter was instructed to go fetch it. The jacket guy asked if every thing else was OK, our other guest asked for ketchup, which we assumed he went to get himself. Meanwhile we cut into our meat entries and found the steak was over cooked and pork was still cold and bloody, so while we waited for the soup and ketchup to come, we ALL had to wait to start our meal. Finally the woman who told us that she would be serving us (and had taken our order) along with another woman (in a sparkly dress), came to our table and asked if everything was OK, which we responded, no my wife still doesn't have the soup, our guest hasn't received a ketchup, the steak is over cooked and the pork is bloody, also my chair is continually being bumped with tray stands (then a bump happened while they were standing there). The woman in the dress picked up the steak and said “I'll take care of this” and went into the kitchen, while the server woman stood apologizing. I showed the pork with the blood to her again. (which I had taken a bite of and found cold, then found it to be bloody) By that time the jacket man was back and said “I'll take care of this one, but I told him that I no longer had an appetite and didn't care to have it replaced and he took it into the kitchen. Still no ketchup or soup! A wait staff and the dress lady came back with a steak and asked “how's this one”, it was satisfactory. I stated that we still didn't have the ketchup or my wife's soup. She said OK and took off. A few minutes later a wait staff came back with the pork dish, at which I said, I had told several people that I no longer had an appetite for the pork entree, and indicated that my wife had not been served yet. He left and in a few minutes another wait staff came with the soup saying that he had to prepare it, that is why it had taken so long. A couple of minutes later the original server came back with the ketchup apologizing about the soup stating, that she had forgotten to prepare it. Then offered to bring me another drink, I declined and she left. At this point my wife said, looking at the soup, it seems like they must have opened a couple of cans of soup combined them then heated them in a hurry. She didn't care to finish it. Also by this time the fries were to cold to bother with. After a several minute period passed the server returned apologizing for the time she had taken again and asked if she could bring us something more, our guest asked for a container for her slider, at which the server left. Several min. later she returned with the bill, my wife checked it and asked “should we be charged for the pork that was removed do to blood dripping from it?” server stated “I can check with my manager” set the bill down on the table and left. I stood up and said I'll see about getting a container for the leftovers. But my wife, seeing how potentially upsetting this could become, requested that we leave cash to cover the bill and go. And so we did.

P.S. The cornbread or whatever it was was bad bad bad!
