i think the post left before me is entirely dishonest!
As you walk in there is an ashtray. It also says smoking allowed!
Anyways, i'm not leaving a review about the smoking!
The elderly woman barely speaks English but every person i have encountered there has been extremely nice. The food comes quick and it is absolutely amazing! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone

When going to the local corner Chinese restaurant for the 5.75 special this evening at the Oceania Inn, I requested a non-smoking table. The restaurant can seat perhaps 50 (it has a bar attached to it with a solid wall between the bar and the eating area).

We were seated, and ordered our food. Within a few minutes, the restaurant gets really noisy as there are five women seated two tables away from ours, with three or four small children, and they are finishing their meals. They are approximately 20 feet away from us.

At the end of their meal, they ask the owner/hostess/waitress, an elderly Chinese woman, if they can smoke, and she says... yes.

ALL FIVE WOMEN proceed to light up, and let the children scream, run, tear up the unused tables. The women occasionally scream at them, but not really discipline them. It is not the little one's fault, mind you, that their mothers and grandmothers are not effective dealing with the bad behavior. Go figure.

I asked the owner/hostess/waitress why they were smoking when we asked for a non-smoking table. She stated, and I am not joking, that "they are over there, you are over here, you just don't worry about it", then turned and walked away.

Once the five women heard my question to the owner/hostess/waitress, they began their rant- and I mean a rant. "Well, don't they know that 90% of the population smoke?!" "Did you hear about that stupid law that says you can't smoke with kids in the car, how crazy is that!" And on, and on, and on.. they continued to light up one cigarette right after the other, and should have left fully 30-40 minutes before us, but stayed, putting their cigarettes out in the dirty plates. Then the laughing, coughing, and gagging ensued.

Absolutely disgusting.

And I am trying to eat. Makes egg drop soup an interesting challenge.
For the women in the restaurant, and the restaurant owner, give me a break. She should have told me in the beginning the place was entirely smoking, but they are a struggling business in the crappy economy, and need every customer's dollar. This little elderly Chinese lady took away my choice, and lied to me. I would have left- without question.
