We love this place we go there often. The food is always fresh, flavorful and hot. The staff is always friendly, polite and professional. My family is planning another trip to enjoy together.

What happened to this place? I used to bring my out of town family here and rave about it. We have driven an HR and a half every time to eat here, numerous times. Tonight our food was terrible, shrimp overcooked to the point it had the consistency of mashed potatoes, fried food tasted as though the oil had never been changed, hearty dishes had no flavor. We paid a pretty penny as a treat during the pandemic, in a very, very slow financial time, for a tinge of normalcy. It pained me because I feel as though our time and money were wasted.

One of the best Seafood Buffets I have been to. Not the best seafood I ate. Just the best buffet which is still pretty good.

Horrible. Where they seated us the young girl that worked there kept dropping plates and stuff. There was an anoying fly.and the food was nasty! I just hope i dont get sick. And when i got the bill i nearly had a stroke. It was ridiculous.. Please avoid this place.

Received mixed reviews from friends but wanted to try for ourselves tomorrow! Was looking for directions on this website and check out recent reviews, not good. Seems like quality has gone downhill but price has increased! Such a shame! We're going elsewhere for real good Louisiana seafood! Thanks for the warning guys, save us the trip and $$$

I came to this place to celebrate a birthday. I was so shocked when I walked in the restaurant because it was so nasty .The restroom was cleaner than the dining room. The food was awful ! How can so much food taste so bad ? Some was overcook, some was undercooked and 90 percent had no taste. I never expected to ever find seafood in Louisiana like this. I got full off of crab legs . I did not even try a desert or salad. I will never go back again . Our server was awesome! I gave them one star because that the least amount I could give them .

Visited the location many times in the past since it is only a short drive from my area. The food and service has always been excellent however I visited on 08/09/2014 and must say the food and service was awful. The food was very bland, had no seasonings whatsoever. Most of the buffet was empty and the food was not being replenished in a timely manner. This restaurant is usually extremely busy on a Saturday night and I would think that the buffet items would be prepared in a manner that when an item was low it could be replaced without the guest having to wait for it to come out of the oven. They ran out of plates and put plastic plates on the buffet for the diners. When clean plates were replaced on the buffet many of them were not clean. The boiled shrimp had been left in the cooking water so long after boiling that they were extremely hard to peel. I tried several of the raw oysters and found that they tasted like motor oil. The wait staff that was assigned to our table was very pleasant and friendly but not efficient in her duties. Several times during the meal we had to ask her to remove dirty dishes off of our table. When we left the restaurant I paid the bill and asked to see the manager but was informed that he was busy and unable to speak with me. The hostess that I voiced my concerns with simply stated that they had run out of almost everything including spices because they had a large crowd of diners (almost 300) waiting at the door when they opened for business that day. I found this to be a very inappropriate answer and as much as I love this place will never return there to dine.

My husband and I decided to spend a little quality time together so we chose to take the 1.5 hr drive to the House of Seafood in Bush La. Their food did not meet my expectations at all. Seating is uncomfortable , bathrooms were nasty , food was horrible had no seasoning. I voiced my concerns to the waitress she in turn spoke to her manager that didn't even care to come out and address our concerns. We graciously paid our tab and exited the building had to stop at Applebee's on the way home as we were still hungry! Please allow my experience to save you some time and money!!!!!

The food is good but getting a little pricey.
BATHROOM IS ALWAYS A DISGRACE.HAS BEEN THAT WAY FOR MANY YEARS.Obviously complaining to the staff means nothing.
If the bathroom which everyone sees is that disgusting, I hate to think how filthy the kitchen might be.

Went to try the place out. Honest, they need a chef there that know how to cook. The oyster was not cook, no flavor on the food at all. Will not go again. Bathroom was tiny but was ok clean.

Some of the food I had was awesome and some was not so great. I have even tried foods that I've never tried before that was ok. I would like to go and enjoy this place again but the bathrooms are AWFUL!!! Needless to say I just couldn't keep my food down long enough to be satisfied...

Been going to the House of Seafood for several years. The food is good if you can put up with the human hairs either in the food or elsewhere. I've given them several tries and this past weekend was my last. Was enjoying some boiled blue crabs and found hairs all intertwined in them. I know it wasn't fibers from a croker sack. They need to be aware of this.

The house of seafood is great. I have been there numerous times and the service is also great. The food is well cooked and taste fresh. I will continue to go to the house of seafood. The price is also very fair.

The building isn't pretty, but the food is amazing!!!! If you leave there hungry its your own fault. Our family gets there early(right when it opens), and we have never ever been disappointed. The food is seasoned to perfection and there is something for all...and let's not forget the soft serve ice cream over a hot out the oven chocolate chip cookie!!!!!
For the price you can't beat it.

The restaurant isn’t fancy; actually it’s a cinder block building but it’s clean and the restrooms have soap and towels. The food is so plentiful and varied if you took only one bite of each dish it would fill about four plates and be more than you could eat. Shrimp, oysters, crawfish, crabs, alligator, fish, frog legs, rabbit, mussels, scallops, steak, chicken, ham and the list goes on and on when you break it down to the various dishes of each. Fried, boiled, broiled, baked, stuffed and every other way. The serving table was kept filled the 1.5 hours we were there. Vegetables, salads and desserts were good also. Service was fantastic. It’s better than any Mississippi Coast Casino buffet cause I’ve been to them all. I live here. $18.95 Thu. Fri. and Sat. only. Closed all of December.

I have traveled all over the world and have dined at places from street vendors to 5 star restaurants. This is one of my favorite spots.
