We came in on our on, but were talked into a 3 course 25th anniversary special. Service was very slow, though the restaurant was not packed. The fried calamari were heavily overbreaded and tasteless, with a dipping sauce that was little more than Campbell's tomato soup. The salad Andrea, which on the menu claimed artichoke hearts and avacado, had neither. The house red was more vinegar than wine, a $5 wine from Rouse's would be much better. The white was better. Spaghetti & meatballs (what was I thinking?) were in a sauce as lacking as the earlier dip, a few fresh herbs would help. My wife's shrimp linguini was also uninteresting. Service quality picked up. The desserts (bread pudding and chocolate mousse) were excellent! $70, outstanding for a good meal, but depressing for an evening ruiner. The chef came around, warmly asking questions (before dessert). He determinely blamed the service (not bad, overall), and responded not at all to the main point. We were then swarmed by solicitous waiters offering (non-complimentarty) drinks and desserts.!

We had reservations. Waited over forty minutes. Finally got seated. Took over another 45 minutes to get food. Went to manager twice. Got food meat (veal) was raw. A Xmas nightmare. Mother is 88 wanted this Xmas to be special she cried a lot that night. Had to pay for everything. Sent us a $50 gift certificate...called for cash they said no...it was a joke. Recommend don't ever go there. My dog did like the raw meat.,

I found the food here great and the people wonderfully entertaining. They had authentic Italian accents and were always happy to serve you. It almost makes you feel like you're in Italy, excpet you look outside the window and see Metairie...
