Didn't get what I ordered. Had to wait 20 minutes. Waitress never returned and didn't get tea refills. Not enough fries.

EARL. My wife and I ate there for our first and last time. My wife ordered our drinks while I washed my hands in their filthy restroom. Smelled terrible, urine all over the floor. Walls most likely had not been washed or painted since the building was built. That should have been my clue to go but thought, it was recommended as a place for country style cooking. The only thing I can say was good was the salad bar. I ordered catfish fillets and requested "well done". The batter was almost black but the fish apparently was frozen, battered andd dropped in hot grease. It was raw inside except around the edges which I ate. My wife ordered chicken fingers and they were fried so hard she could not chew them. the waitress never came back to our table. We even had to flag her down to get our check. Management is apparently lacking here. Would never recommend them. Does the health department ever check restrooms?

the food is fine but the take out service needs attention....they leave you at the window way to long and don't even see what you want!!!! not just once....everytime...I call it in then wait before I go and still set at the window until somebody decides to see what I am at the window....AWFUL!!!!

Hello Glenda,
My wife is currently on a diet from the Results Inc, we had been told that Glenda's would give a meal that would comply with the current calorie, protein, fat, sugar etc. that would be in the guidelines of a correct meal.
We ordered a hamburger patty, a glass of water and a cup of beans for her and tea and coffee for me. The hamburger patties were the size of McDonalds regular with onions and bell peppers which was, in itself, a good tasting meal. The problem was the price! We have two chihuahuas which we buy three hamburgers with a piece of cheese on each one at the Burger King every other day for them. That price is $4.85 for all three, and they are whoppers! No pun intended. Our two burgers at Glends's cost $12.60! Something wrong here. We can eat in most any place in Cleveland for under fifteen dollars, some places are less. Our bill for two burgers, one tea and one coffee was $20.37! Plus a two dollar tip! I am disappointed in Glenda's, I know it's a popular place but pricey.

Whenever I have eaten at Glenda's, I think how easy it would be to actually serve fresh vegetables. It is inexpensive but the vegetables seem to be prepackaged, definitely not fresh. The biscuits are certainly not top on my list. Cakes usually sell out but that goes along with the carbs. This place mimics southern food and I am a local who stopped going because of poor service and especially the poor quality of food. The salad bar might be the only saving part.

This was our third time in the Cleveland area in 3 yrs. Each year we had eaten at Glenda's. This year I ordered Butterfly Shrimp with Loaded Baked Potato and One Trip To The Salad Bar. My husband ordered Fried Chicken Livers and the Salad Bar. We went to the salad bar and got salad with veggies you normally put on your salad and dressing on one bowl. I got another bowl and put my pasta and macaroni salads, pickles and pickled okra on that one. We are not big eaters but we also don't like our food mixed all together and piled on top of our salad. After we had eaten our salads, the food was delivered. The waitress asked if we had eaten there before. I told her last year. She said the one trip salad bar meant one bowl only. I told her no where on the menu did it say that and she didn't mention it beforehand. It rubbed me the wrong way. Then my shrimp were very fishy tasting and they tasted like frozen ones. My husband said his livers were fried too long. I liked them and that's what I ate. He ate 2 shrimp and we left the others. The times before we really enjoyed the food but not this time.

We were in the area on vacation and rode by this little hole in the wall mom/pop restaurant-not much to look at, but prices were great and the food was home cooked and plentiful. Had country-fried steak and boyfriend had hamburger steak....will definitely go next time we r in the area. Highly recommend.

“4/10/12 We ate at Glenda's the last day we were in the area. This looks like a little mom and pop restaurant but this is were usually find some of the best food. I would have to say the pork chops were very good. My husband had the country fried steak and said it was pretty good also. We did not have room for dessert so I can't comment on that. The waitress we had was very attentive to our needs. She check back with us several times to see if we needed anything and to ask if everything was ok. All and all I would say a pretty good meal and yes I would definitely recommend this place.”

We were in Cleveland for the weekend and enjoyed two meals at Glenda's - good food, local country atmosphere. Worth a try!

I went to Glenda's for lunch. I was hoping for good country food. They mainly had sandwiches. The special was a fish sandwich. I tried the special. I took a long time to get food. Then it came it was a flat peice of catfish. Very little fish. Mostly batter. I ask for tart sauce. The waitress never came back to the table. I choked down most of the sandwich and left. The fried were good and the coke was a little flat. If you are in Cleveland go to one of the name brand fast food places. Leave Glenda's to the locals. They must treat them better.

I'm from Atlanta, so I've grown accustomed to a certain quality of service. That being said I have a friend that lives up near Cleveland, and she loves this place so we went to have dinner there. Needless to say I was Hesitant to eat at a restaurant that i had never heard of. I thought the food was good! It was hot, and spiced well (not too salty) and the server was a nice girl i think her name was Angelleah? anyway good food, good service, and lots of small town charm. I give Glenda's 100%

Our favorite place to eat in Cleveland. (we are locals)

Nothing fancy, just good southern cooking and plenty of it with reasonable prices and friendly service.

If you like lots of food, basic down home Southern cooking and a decent salad bar for those who don't want just fried everything, Glenda's is great. I have always had great service inside.Food doesn't try to be gourmet (except dessert cakes), just good. Lots of people seems to be regulars, sort of a "Cheers" for local food and color. It is often crowded with a wait for your food, but that's a good sign, isn't it? Sorry the 5:30am morning reviewer had a bad experience.

Some lame, blond evil waitress took 15 minutes to take my order this morning through the drive-thru window... not to mention the fact that I had to circle around and drive through the drive-thru twice.

She was RUDE, made no apologies except to say that she was late getting there to work this morning. I told her that she was standing in there cleaning counters when I drove up the first time to the window and honked and was totally ignored. I thought maybe their radio system at the window was not working. I arrived there at 5:32 AM and they are officially open at 5:30. But someone is already there long before 5:30 AM.

Glenda lost a customer this morning, cause I won't go there again. Best ham biscuits I've ever tasted, but it ain't worth the damn poor -ss, slow service I got there this morning.

The lame, blond needs to be FIRED!!!!!!
