best crab legs around, love it so much. hated to hear that it closed down. wish they could reopen it up again soon. I don't know of any other place to go to get crab legs around here that good unless you go to savannah. miss them much.

I went to Capt. Jack's Crab Shack for the first time to try it out. I ordered crab legs and shrimp and it was delicious! Our order was filled quickly and the food was hot. The service was ok, but the atmosphere wasn't good. The decor could definitely use some upgrades. It's smells a little stale with dim lighting.

I had a catfish dinner with steamed fresh vegetables that was delicious. My husband had the crab cake salad. I would recommend eating at Captain Jack's. We even got a ten percent discount for showing our hotel "key". Wait staff was very friendly.

I had my first experience a Captain Jack's Crab Shack last Friday. the service was excellent and the food was amazing. I will be returning soon. thank you to the staff for making my first date in a long time and very very good one. keep up the good work everybody.

Our first time at Captain Jacks, my husband and I were a little apprehensive. It looks like a hole in the wall place, and its definitely not "fancied up" like the competition, but wait till your food hits the table and WOW! it's great! I recommend the legs and corn, always hot and cooked to perfection. The staff, they are real people and you're treated like family, not a guest, so be prepared. This is not RL, so get over it! It's way better, and We will be back...tonight in fact!!!

best crab legs around. the most legs for the money. the best price around. Better legs for the money than most seafood places I have ever been to, and that is alot. Even those in seaside eatries.

i seriously cannot believe the reviews. my fiance is a cook up here and i know for a fact that the food is amazing, i know most of the staff and they are great people. i have eaten her plenty of times! i love it!

We went to Captain Jacks with a little apprehension after reading a few bad reviews. We should have heeded those reviews. Not only was the restaurant dirty, the waitress was preoccupied with playing in the casino room next door. Our order was warm and flavorless by the time she got around to us. Our server was unprofessional to say the least. Needless to say we will not be returning.

Captain Jack's was recommended to us by the manager at the hotel we stayed at in Byron, GA. We ordered take out. We were told it would be 20 minutes but there was a short delay when I went to pick up our meal 20 minutes later. The young girl at the front desk could not have been more helpful, even carrying our drinks to my car for me as U carried out the meal. The food was excellent. My daughter and I shared scallops and grouper which was delicious. My wife had a shrimp salad which was equally good.

My husband,my daughter and I decided to go there and eat. We live in Byron and the past times we have been it was pretty good. This time We got there and waited around 45 Minutes .. Our food still didn't come. I went and asked to speak to the manager. He came out of the kitchen and said that there was several tables ahead of us. There was only 1 other table there.. I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW HE SPOKE TO ME AS A CUSTOMER. HE SAID "THIS IS NOT FAST FOOD". My husband is a chef. I know it doesn't take this long to cook some fish and shrimp. This ruined our night and we will NOT be back. Then the server said " YOUR FOOD IS UP". do u want to wait ( cause at this point we were on the way out the door) I said NO and he said " OK whatever floats your boat".. I am a server . If I spoke to someone like this I would lose my job.. I wouldn't waste my time going there..

We ordered take out this past saturday at lunch and it was very good. Nothing was greasy and the fish and shrimp were done to perfection. Hush puppies and coleslaw deliciously sweet and the fries were seasoned out of this world and well cooked. The prices are great for all the food you get; we had leftovers for lunch the next day. We'll definitely be back.

This truly is a terrible place to eat. The wait staff was rude and dirty looking people. The food was overpriced and greasy. Don't waste your money and your time here. It's a joke compared to Red Lobster and RL is cheaper.

My wife and I decided to give Captain Jack's Crab Shack a try rather than dine at a very popular national chain (Red Lobster). We were sorely disappointed. We ordered carry-out and noticed that the order was not correct. When we called the restaurant to let them know that we had been shorted, we were told that we had to drive back to the restaurant (in the rain and fog) for the rest of our order. I talked with the manager and explained that we lived 20 miles away and spent $45.00 on our order. He then informed me there was nothing he could do to rectify the situation. There would be NO compensation for our inconvenience. NOTHING. Additionally, there was no semblance of good hygiene noted among the workers. And the sides were AWFUL. The only redeeming factor was that the crab legs and fish were pretty decent. The other factors, however, made this a very forgettable dining experience. Apparently, business at Captain Jack's Crab Shack is very good as it can afford to send away potential customers. We will go back to patronizing the competition.
