I'm not sure my visit to "Catfish One" could be called an experience. more like a bad dream. I ordered the 10 piece catsish for my cousin and the 18 (Jumbo ???) fried shrimo. I had gotten the same thing two weeks ago and thought I would give them a second chance on the shrimp. the catfish was cooked well. Lightly golden brown.

But the so called Jumbo Shrimp, which may have started out as jumbo but so overcooked all the moisture was cooked out and they were possibly a medium size. Never mind the size. I politely asked the little girl at the window who was taking the orders to please ask the guy if he would just cook my Shrimp for 3 minutes only. But no, she either failed to tell him and was only 10' away. Or else he thought he could do no wrong and cooked them possibly as he liked them. Another wasted almost $15.00. I looked at them when I got them and tried to eat one. It was dry and almost mealy tasting that only an overcooked Shrimp will be. He was at the window and I took them back and simply told him, "I am not asking for a refund, I just wanted him to have the back. Whoever this guy is should should
drive up to Pearl, MS, and get the fried Shrimp at Moss Creek Fish House. Heck I would even take him up there if he would go. And buy him fried shrimp. I think the sad truth that no one in Brookhaven can really cook fried shrimp. Possibly Georgia Blue. I don't know. Never tried them there. Most everything else is pretty good. Again, Catfish One had good fried catfish. So my cousin says. I don't eat catfish. The French Fries were great. Even better than "The Boggue Chitto Boys" restaurant in Bogue Chitto.

Just stick to Catfish guys at Catfish One. I shudder to think what they would do to a poor oyster.
I would give them an honest rating but all the box has is ***** . No 00000. I would give them a ZERO. on the Shrimp. I did not ask for a refund. just handed them to the owner/cook or whoever he is and got in my vehicle and left. Never to return. Never is this a more fitting reply. I have been almost burned two times. A wasted 1/3rd of a hundred dollar bill. it's really sad. Pathetic might be a better word.

I was able to catch Fish One
Opened today.
I passed them but turned around to check them out and see if they had stuffed crab in the shell.
I had tried everyone in Brookhaven but they didn't have any.
I got stuffed crab for $1.99 each.
They were so good.
Then I was able to get 1 catfish file
to try it too.
It was all fresh cooked and not oily. Also the hush puppies were very good too.
They were so friendly and nice to
fix the food the way I wanted it.
I live alone and I can't eat all food like others .
Their menu is nice for everyone.
Thanks for making my day.
I will be back often.

Seafood Platter $15.99 The fries were hard
Sale tax. $1.82. Shrimp 3 hard Oysters 4
Total. $ 27.80. I only had batter.
I have never had this experience at CAT FISH ONE!
Money that I threw away! Horrible Food!

Absolutely the best seafood here!!!! The fish is perfectly crispy and fresh.... love this place!!!
