I have tried this restaurant 3 times and everytime it's the same thing ... half empty, cold & unwelcoming dining room, staff is young & unfriendly, food is mediocre...never did get the rolls..Creme Brulee is my favorite dessert and not a lot of places serve it, this place shouldnt.. it looked like someone dipped it out with a spoon and "splatted" it on a saucer, it was gross I told my husband I wasn't coming back there, he said "you said that last time"... well this time I mean it

Mitchell's Restaurant is a fantastic blend of both casual and fine dining,
Without the ridiculous price tag.
It has a very comfortable atmosphere with NO cigarette smoke to ruin your dining experience and the food is fantastic!!!!!!!!
The waitresses are very kind and pay attention to detail.
When it is busy, of course they are going to be a bit slower, but that is everywhere.
The main thing is that it is clean. the atmosphere is nice,
The food is fantastic, and it is not expensive.
I say all restaurants can take a lesson from this place.
Loved it and will go again

My husband and I stopped in today on a Sunday drive. Food was very good and the menu had a nice varied selection. Will definitely stop in again when we are up that way. We're from Louisiana, Baton Rouge area and this restaurant would stack up against any of the best restaurants in our area. Good location too. Easy off and on the interstate.

Staying at the Hampton (Next Door) on business. Working so I ordered take out, the food was ready in 15 minutes as they promised. The Filet was cooked to perfection (Med Rare), so tender that the plastic knife cut with ease. Vegetables were crisp and not overcooked, the fried green tomatoes were especially tasty. The hostess was very cordial and pleasant. Cannot wait to bring my wife this way. 5 Stars are not enough. Thanks

My wife and I ate at your restaurants tonight(1-21-11) and was very disappointed with the waiter. I asked her twice to bring us the Spinach and Artichoke dip and never received it. My husband asked for a medium cooked steak and it was well done and tough as leather. Also, my husband asked if he could have the fried eggplant and she said would you rather have that than the salad and that it was extra for the eggplant. My husband said that he would rather have the salad and she STILL had the eggplant on the order and also CHARGED US FOR THEM. She told us twice that the bread was coming, but it came as we were finishing our meal.
Your WAITERS need to be TRAINED MORE!!!! Very Unprofessional!!!!

my wife and i tried this restaurant for the first time last night. we felt like we totally out of sync with the staff. our server was polite but untrained. it was a major ordeal to get some sugar. the steak that i received was truly a dried out piece of leather that tasted like old venison. my wife's steak was a deep fried Grissel with a tangy flavor. now to the good news. the salad, veggies and water were perfect. even though i paid $10.00 for them. the night manager was puzzled on how to help us with our meal.. her offer of a free desert as she looked at 2 plates of uneaten food was taken as a joke but wasn't. in today's tight budget climate i would strongly recommend that when the cook and manager are out of town that he put someone with more experience in charge

I have been many times and have never been disappointed! My food is always cooked to perfection and I make a point to try different items on the menu. Ken is a very friendly person and is always making an effort to make rounds throughout the restaurant checking on each table making sure each patron is happy and without complaint. Couldn't ask for a better place to dine!

Kitchen is run by a bunch of kids. Charged me 10 dollars for a huge bowl of cheese and artichoke sauce, but only gave me six small wedges of bread and charged me double when I asked for simply more bread.

Ordered a tuna steak for myself, which was fine and tasted good, but ordered a burger from the wife. The burger came separate from the fries. The center was still bloody, so much that the bun was bloody. Sent it back. They cut the burger in half, put it back on the grill, put the mangled patty back onto the bloody bun, this time with soggy french fries, and returned it to my table.

I did not pay for the burger. I took a peak into the kitchen on the way out and I don't think I saw a single person of the age of 18.

Oh, and the vegetables are freezer fresh. Yuck.

Delightful restaurant Just off I-55 on our way south. Wonderful menu choices. Yummy gumbo and stuffed eggplant. Lovely group of people. I would love to see a website

My wife and I have eaten here several times.
Ken prepares a nice variety of foods not the ho hum
catfish house fare.
