Great food, good prices, friendly NJ neighborhood feel. Italian restaurant but also excellent steak and chops!

Food and service were A+. Although a long 45 minute ride for our party, it was well worth it. We will dine there again soon.

Exceptional food. We have been going there for at least 10 years now and have always had delicious Italian food & the best service...and I'm Italian from Brooklyn!! ;D

Leonardo's is the best Italian restaurant by far well worth the money you pay for the meals you get more than what you pay for food is excellent service is great Bob the owner is there he will greet you make you feel part of their business and the restaurant you can customize any order to your liking and Mitch Match the orders and everything is at a fair price one portion is enough for two people so be wary if you're not hungry when you go there you'll get more than your money is worth customer service is professional BYOB or order wine when you're there no other place does that enjoy your food and your night out

I feel badly for the person who wrote the last review (though typically isn't shrimp parm fried?? what exactly were you expecting??)...I live in the area and have been to Leonardo's quite a few times. It's a little "hole in the wall" so to speak....typically locals are the ones that visit since it's off a busy drag and doesn't look like much from the outside. However, once you get inside you realize you are in for an authentic Italian experience...none of that chain stuff here! I'm a big veal person so I typically order that...there are quite a few choices but my favorite is the one with the prosciutto! My fiance loves the heaping bowls of pasta with shrimp. It's BYOB which makes it affordable for our weeknight "date nights." And the bread stale?? NEVER! I've never had stale bread from Leonardo's. In fact, I typically avoid the bread basket when dining out because it's empty carbs/calories....but the bread at Leonardo's....the pesto....the marinara....it's so good I can't resist! Heading to Leonardo's tonight for a great meal!

After all the great reviews I finally persuaded my hubby to try this restaurant. What a disappointment! First of all the parking lot was empty when we arrived and so was the restaurant at 6:30 on Fri night - we were looking forward to a nice quiet dinner. so when we get our salads suddenly 30 people come in for a private party which was not private since it was right next to us!!! Very noisy! We could not even talk it was so loud. They brought in cases and cases of beer. All I can say is I would not want to be there after they finished drinking it. Our entrees thankfully came out soon but were mediocre at best. Hubbys chicken franciese was dry and tasteless. My shrimp parm was deep fried - disgusting! Even the foccicia bread which came with the meal was stale....So this was our first and last visit-unfortunately we wasted our money and what could have been a lovely night out. Fortunately there are many other nice Italian restaurants in the area. I would skip this one!
