CCK is the real deal. Peter is an amazing chef! My husband and I go there at least once a week. It is noteworthy to mention that my husband was laid off seven months ago and I am on disability, so we don’t have a lot of money to go out to eat. CCK offers authentic dishes generally under $10, so we can feel like we’re splurging!
As eager as we are to try all of Peter’s dishes, my husband and I are easily stuck on the same dish for weeks at a time since each one has been a delicacy. Lately, my husband has been stuck on the delicious Chunks of Flounder dish. His mouth actually waters when it comes to the table with the divine aroma of green peppers and onions. It's been hard for me to get away from the simple but amazing Won Ton Noodle Soup, but last week, we were fortunate to experience the stuffed eggplant dim sum. All I can say is, AMAZING! The same goes for the Oyster. The flavors just melt in your mouth. I recommend trying those two things as soon as possible! We had them as appetizers, but one can easily fill up on a few dim sum orders.
Just last night, I simply asked Michelle, Peter's lovely daughter, what her dad might recommend for an upset stomach. Out came an amazingly flavorful watercress bean curd soup! So flavorful! With frequent stomach upsets, my usual diet has to be bland, according to Western medicine. I'm absolutely thrilled to know that I can still have wonderfully NOT bland food, with Peter's help! I am beside myself to experience delicious AND healthy food, as well as eager to try more and more dishes on the CCK menu.
