If I could leave 0 stars I would. We spent 45 minutes in Island Way. We were only able to order drinks and appetizers in this 45 minutes. The blonde hostess is extremely rude and Jordan is highly argumentative and unprofessional. Save your time, energy and frustration and take yourself somewhere else. Seems like they used to be a good restaurant, but those days have come and gone. Arguing with a customer should never ever happen. I can recommend Shagger Jacks in Oak Island or Oliver’s at Cape Fear in Southport. They know how to run a quality restaurant.

First and foremost, the appearance, the view, and waiter OUTSTANDING!!! Now for the review of the back of the house.... There 18oz bone in ribeye with a lobster tail added. The steak at best was 8 to 10 oz with the bone in at approx 1/8 of an inch thick. It was over cooked to well done ( ordered medium). The lobster tail taste was great, it was also extremely overcooked. (Had to cut it with a steak knife) The red potatoes taste was great only 5 halfs of a small potato on my plate and the temperature was only warm. My wife got a filet mignon with the island way potatoes. The steak was cooked well done ordered medium) and dry, the potatoes again were only warm. This was our first visit to this restaurant, and we are local to the area. We did address these with the waiter. At $109.00 I would have loved to leave with a great first visit and a full belly. Again, the waiter and out front staff were OUTSTANDING!!! The chef and other cook staff need more training on the proper way to cook steaks and seafood.

Best steak I’ve ever had. Service was amazing and food was even better! I’ll be going back soon.

Order RIBEYE. Worse steak every. Sent back to kitchen to be cooked more. It was just warm up. Didn't eat it, then ask if I needed a box. Really!!! Over priced and food sucked.

Love this place! The food is all fresh and really good! The service was outstanding and we even met the chef and owners when we went (they are hands on and really get involved in the service). I was impressed with this place and its level of service. I had the oysters vaughn and fillet neptune with a really good malbec and couldn't have been happier. Highly reccomended!

Unremarkable. Pricey and just ordinary. I had the Grouper Neptune. For $27 it was grouper on a bed of asparagus topped with crab-meat, a few shrimp and hollandaise sauce. Sounds good but looked like a lump of gray on a few sprigs of gray. The vegetables that accompanied it were equally unremarkable. The stir fried summer vegetables were doused with a seasoning that strongly resembled something from the McCormick spike line. My husband had the shrimp and grits which he enjoyed. The shrimp appeared to be lightly battered and fried and were plentiful.Service was good and we had a table by the window which was nice. I don't think we would pay those prices again for such ordinary food.
