I worked here last year. The managers don't know what they're doing and have no idea how to properly train the staff. They and a few of my ex-coworkers were sometimes rude to the customers. The managers like to yell at their employees when something goes wrong and you haven't done anything. The orders take forever, and a good amount of the food is not fresh. The garlic knots, the canolis, and some of the other stuff were frozen I believe. I've had their pizza and garlic knots before. The pizza was OK and the garlic knots weren't garlicy enough for my taste. It's definitely not worth the price they're asking. And if you get harassed by an employee, the managers don't do anything about it. Service for the most part is pretty slow. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. You're better off going somewhere else that has good service and food.

I ordered a pizza and an italian hoagie. The meat in the hoagie was not a meat I would recognize in an italian hoagie. I asked if they put oil and vinegar on the hoagie and was told it was italian dressing which would have been ok but it came with mayonnaise on it, which is unacceptable. I will never order from here again. Don't waste your money on a subpar pizza.

What's up OWNERS? Bad customer service today, walked in and all you heard was yelling between the works (owners) etc. Heard you talk rude to a customer (who was a first time customer). My order was not ready on time, you all need to work better (I DON'T CARE IF YOU ARE THE OWNERS) if that is true you need to do even better on how you act when working.

This is a family owned place where you never see the family anymore. When we first tried Sami's the owner (Jeff and his wife) were always there with a smile and a generous greeting from the owner himself! He really cared if you had a good experience in his restaurant!! And the food was FABULOUS!!!! I was addicted. The best pizza for miles!!! Soon the son took over ... not as fabulous but still really good. The yelling and arguing between the staff curbed our visits. We did take out more often. Now not one of the family members can be seen and you never know what will be waiting on you not to mention what will be preparing the food. It has lost its family touch and become just another take out pizza place. No one cares if your food is any good or if you need anything. You often get ignored after they have your money. You almost have to get your own to go box. Is this a tattoo joint or a pizza place? Please come back Jeff ! We miss you and your FABULOUS pizza.

The food is always better when Dad(owner) is there. There's a real difference in taste when someone else is running the business. Bread is harder, service is slower, etc. Even the New York attitude can be tolerated when the food is this good.

My husband and I used to enjoy eating at Sami's at least once a week until he let the son take over. The past three times we have been over charged, chicken wings over cooked bordering on burned and when I called to complain I was given the attitude! When I went back to get a refund on being over charged the son had a not so nice name for me as I was walking out the door! We'll take Jeff's loudness anytime over the son!

GREAT NY FOOD! LET ME TELL YOU I HAD MY DOUBTS AT FIRST BECAUSE THE OWNER IS A LITTLE UPTIGHT AND YELLS ALOT. NOW THE SON IS THERE EVERYDAY AND HE MAKES GREAT FOOD AND IS SUPER NICE TO MY FAMILY AND I, I GO AT LEAST TWICE A WEEK AND PICK UP FOOD. I JUST WANT TO SAY THAT DEANO IS DOING A GREAT JOB AND I MOST LIKELY WOULD EVEN EAT THERE IF HE DIDNT COME DOWN.. BUT AGAIN FOOD IS GREAT DEAN REALLY KNOWS HIS PIZZA AND STEAKS SUBS.

Great food Great service, but there seems to be a new pizza man who I think I've seen before! The other day he was playing on his phone at the counter while the girl took my order, she gave him the order and he continued to play on his phone. I was like come on i don't have all day(to myself)The girl again said you have an order up I am pretty sure he ignored her well after 10 Min he went over and made my pizza this is the kicker without washing his hands! I thought how nasty, i wanted to tell the manager but he was really busy making subs which happen to be the BEST!

I was there eating dinner on a Monday night and The owner Jeff was screaming at the cashier who took 20 min. just to take my order he said "USE YOUR FU$%ing BRAIN!" i was shocked! its much better to go when his son and his girlfriend are there!!! yes they get busy but they also have a lot less workers! The father always seems to leav them on a busy weekene. If you eat at samis you would know that Jeff is the most over baring one of them all!!! Not to mention all the workers are terrified to mess up .Anyway Great food and great service. steak special its the best!

It's a shame that a restaurant that makes great food, has the worst service and attitude I have ever seen. The owner Jeff and his wife are great, but when the son is their food quality and customer sefvice is terrible. They become unorganized and orders pile up. The son will yell and cuss at the help in front of customers, this is poor business, and the girls are wearing regular t-shirts with their bra's and skin showing throught the sweat. I hope Jeff makes changes before it is to late. They say their business has dropped I wonder why????????

Great pizza and subs!! You also get alot for your money. I highly recommend Sami's. It doesn't look like much on the outside--a small restaurant at the end of a service station building but what's inside ( the food and service) is awesome!

Very good pizza best in Johnston County

review_stars 12/27/2008 - Treated Rudely
I wanted to use the restroom before getting a slice of pizza for the road and the owner yelled at me "No public restrooms!" I replied, "But I will buy something." and he yelled "I'm tired of cleaning up after you people!" I asked, "Is that how you treat customers?" He replied, "I'm the owner, I can do what I want!" I advised him he lost a sale and went to Subway next door instead. He proceeded to mock me infront of the other customers. It's a shame that he would drive customers away like that.
