I also, unfortunately, live relatively close to this bakery. It is certainly worth the extra half hour or more drive to get to another bakery instead of Roma's. I had a stale chocolate birthday cake in June. We didn't go back again until nearly a year later (in March) when I was told emphatically that their zepoli's were made fresh daily. Surprise, they were NOT. My mother in law was furious as she paid for 8 "fresh baked" pastries that tasted like they had been sitting around all week. I took back the 6 that had not yet been cut (the other 2 were tossed immediately), and we got a store credit for those 6 returned--not the entire inedible order, just what wasn't yet thrown away.
By the way, WHAT are you supposed to do with a bakery store credit when you can't trust the freshness or any of their products???

Horrible. Terrible. Never again.

Went to Roma because of its proximity to my house. Ordered what I thought was a fabulous dessert tray. The employee when I ordered on Tuesday, nov 26 showed me a delicious "freshly baked" dessert tray. What I received my I picked it up on thanksgiving was a frozen disgusting dessert tray. The items in the tray were clearly cakes and desserts they were unable to sell through out the week. The canolis had freezer burn on them. When I asked the manager why if it was supposed to be a fresh baked dessert tray there was freezer burn? She told me it was fresh. We went back and forth about the clearly evident freezer burn with the conversation basically ending with "you paid for it , not my problem." I had pre paid when I placed the order. All the desserts were frozen to the core. For a "fresh" dessert tray this puzzled me. The quality of the desserts were crap. Whole thing got thrown away.

The cheesecake. Terrible. My husband cut a piece and tried it. Spit it out. Said it tasted like it had been in the fridge uncovered for about a week.

A huge waste of money. The manager was rude. The only good thing about the bakery was a nice , polite young man helping customers and apologizing to everyone for their disgusting desserts and their debit/credit card machine being down.
