Best local restaurant, extensive menu.

I have enjoyed countless delicious pizzas, burgers, sandwiches over decades, going back to Kim and Ed's ElectricPizza days. Yes, this place is locally owned and a local favorite. They have a wide and varied menu; food is great! It's not fancy; but who cares? Most go for the good food, reasonably priced.
The owners are there, working along with the cooks and servers.
Can't say enough about Hickory!

I had the turkey hotshot for lunch. The slices of turkey, if it is turkey, were so thin as to be almost translucent. It reminded me of a sandwich I had at Penn Station once. It had been years since I ate at the Hickory Inn, and I only did so this time at the behest of a friend. Nothing's changed from my last disappointing visit there. This restaurant has been way over-rated for years.

The food in my option is way overpriced and really the only thing I like is the onion rings. I go because my wife loves the ribs. I have tried the chief salad and can get a lot more, better quality and less expensive at Mics. The flounder was over cooked, and the spaghetti wasn't drained so came to me runny with the sauce watered down and not edible at all.

Huge menu with a wide variety of choices. The decor is very classic 60s and comfortable. Food is excellent as was the service. I highly recommend it.

The food here was disgusting. It tasted as if it had been sitting on a steam table for a week. The Italian sub was made with very low grade ingredients for the price. The roast beef hotshot and the chicken and noodles tasted like they were beyond the point of being safe to serve. The server was very nice but when they knew we were disappointed with the food they didn't offer to do anything about it. We paid twenty five dollars for a meal that we ate five bites (if that) of and I could have made better food at home for less. We will never step foot in this place again!!!! I would advise you to go to Penn Station if you want a good Italian sub!!!!
