The meal at Silver Lake Cafe was truly exceptional, with delicious options like mushroom soup with morels and a melt-in-your-mouth French dip. I highly recommend stopping by for a satisfying dining experience that won't disappoint.

Horrible owners. Hunting season 2011, My grandson & I were literally kicked out for asking for napkins twice. Her rude, snappy & curt response "It will be just a minute" (mind you three tables of people, our milk shake cups where drippy, the burgers were good yet messy) She walked past us a few times and also by the napkins ignoring us. Finally I got up reached over the counter & grabbed 6 napkins. She comes running towards me yelling "listen I don't know who you think you are but do not reach over the counter for napkins" I said in consideration to the fact that you are walking by them as you pass and grease is running down to our elbow I thought I would save you the trip. She stomps off them comes back and says "I just want to let you know once you finish you are not to come back here" I said you won't have to worry about that, we will never come back here again! Then she puts her hands on her hips and says "humm, oh really" She stomps off for the 2nd time to the bar and I hear her discussing this desperate matter of the napkins, then next thing I know a man (hubby?) comes to our table and says gruffly and mean to my grandson and I "It is time for you to leave" We have been going to that cafe for over 32 years each hunting season, MANY owners over the years and NEVER any problems. Wow they were so rude & mean!! A gentleman came outside with our coats & told us how sorry he was we were treated like that, said he has never seen anything so uncalled for and mean before. Think this is all? Oh no. I went into the store the other day 10/6/12 & told the owner of the store (27 years she has owned the store) about last years napkin incident. She said they have been horrible. During the September 2012 bike Oregon (2k riders) they closed & refused to serve them. Then another time two rotter rooter trucks ( plumbing) were parked in their LARGE parking lot (I don't know where they were) but when they returned their trucks were covered in eggs. They went in cafe to see if they had seen anyone. The owner said proudly "yes, it was me. You have no right leaving your trucks in my parking lot" OK-then I just got a call from another hunter who got back today (Sunday 10/7/12) there was husband/wife/son who ate there. Then went into attached bar & met two other hunting friends to watch the Ducks football game and drink. They had 1 designated driver who ordered soft drinks the other four were drinking. Their were others in the bar when during 4th quarter the bar tender asked them if they wanted any more to drink. They all four still had glasses of beer in front of them and said no thanks they didn't want any more. He told them "Then you need to leave" They said they were shocked and told him they were gonna finish their beers. He said time to leave, closing up. (not even 11pm & others still in bar). So they decided to go ahead & leave. The son reminded the guy that they had bought dinner and had a large bar bill & couldn't believe he was doing this. The bar tender said "well you can stay but the others need to go" OMy What is going on here? The owner at the of the store said new cafe owners don't want anyone else in there cafe except their small "click" of friends. How are they paying for this busies? Money laundering? Drug dealers? Millionaires? I don't know but has anyone ever heard of such a place as this??? I wud HIGHLY recommend you don't go there unless you want a horrible experience. Thanks for listening.
