Fried chicken breading so salty, couldn't be eaten. Also, whole restaurant seemed dirty to us; walls, tables, floors, just didn't seem clean or taken care of. We hadn't been there in awhile, but seemed as though things had gone downhill. We didn't complain and left a nice tip for the pleasant waitress, but doubt we go back.

I would of given this place a 5 Star rating, but there was something I had an issue with. We had never eaten here before but had been told that their food was very good and the prices reasonable. I had what they call a big pig, which is a breaded pork chop with mozz cheese and bacon, it was outstanding. Great flavor, hot and very prompt. We had told our waitress that we were in sort of a hurry as we wanted to make a 7:00 movie in Celina, and we arrived about 5:30. My wife ordered a blackened Australian fish, which I can't remember how it was spelled but started with a B and was listed as a top 20 superfood. It also was outstanding. Waitress was very knowledgeable and friendly. The final bill was just under $30 and for the quality of the food, we thought it to be very reasonable. We both had onion rings which also were very well made and very tasty.. The issue I had, is the atmosphere, I know it is an old tavern/bar, but the bathrooms were pretty bad and smelled pretty bad, the whole place just reminded us of a run down bar. But, again the food was top notch. With the quality of the food, and the ever expanding menu, I hope they end up in a much better venue soon, as food this good deserves to be served in a warm, upscale atmosphere with some quality decor... I mean the cloth napkins, fancier glasses and the food, speak of a place much more pleasant.... We will go back to try more of their dishes. And if you like pork chop, Cheese, and bacon the Big Pig is an absolute must try...

I have been stuck in Celina for weeks for work and this place has saved my sanity.

The staff, owners and locals are friendly.

The selection of beers on tap are brilliant, I do enjoy the great selection of Mullner beers..

The food is of exceptional quality, a rare find and rate as one of my favourite restaurant.. (Considering I have eaten all around the world, Australia, Thailand, Italy, etc, etc)...

Recommendations, well its all good.. Barramundi, Monk Fish, New York Steak, Bourbon Steak, to name a few... But you must also leave space for the apple dumplings, they are impressive..

Highly, highly recommend this place.. Hence my last two nights in this country will be spent there enjoying the lovely food..

I love coming here on my lunch break. Always the same nice server who recognizes me and remembers my preferences oddly enough. I leave full and happy spending no more than $7. Great specials!

Portions are huge for such a small price. Everything has a really good flavor, no bland stuff. The Porkchops and Fish dinners will leave you a happy camper.
If you want a hot yummy sub don't bother going across the street to Subway. Maybe 10 to choose from $6 come with fries or chips.
The dining room is really cleaned up and on Saturday they put linens on the tables! Nice "fancy" dinner close to home!
