Wanted to talk with manager about service at bar. First sentence out of her mouth was 2-3 "f" words. She might own this bar but the words she used is very unprofessional (reason I think she might be the owner). Very hard to explain my experience when I get am greeted with "f" bombs. It's not how a customer should be greeted. Good luck if you go there and need the manager. The servers and most bartenders are great!!

I have eaten at the Ice House several times with friends and we have never had a bad meal yet. I even hosted a large dinner (20 people) and we were treated so well by the waitstaff and were amazed by how well the kitchen handled getting out food out in a timely manner and hot. Again, no complaints from any of the diners. I need to substitute a lot due to dietary restrictions and they always do it with a smile. They even have a gluten free dessert that is quite good. The Ice House is a great place to go for great food and service without the high prices of downtown Charleston resturants serving simimlar fare (Southern Cuisine).

Just had a horrible meal at Icehouse. First was seated next to service door and waitress traffic was ridiculous. I should have left but ask to be seated at a different table. That table was nice. I ordered the 12 oz ribeye medium and it was the worse steak I have had at a restaurant for a long long time. It was burnt on the outside and raw inside and was a very very fatty piece of meat. It cost $22 dollars and wasn't worth half of that. I would have complained but was so disgusted it wasn't worth the stress.

Rude, unappreciative staff. Walked in with my adult family at 5:30pm and was treated like they were doing us a favor to seat us since we didn't have a reservation. Seated at the tiniest 3x3' table with shot glasses for our warm water. Waitress left and didn't return for 10-15 min. so we left. Plenty of wonderful restaurants in our fair city of Summerville, so we will never grace the Icehouse again.

I've never heard of lobster tails so heavily breaded you can't tell there's actually lobster underneath, let alone taste any of it. Might as well have ordered crunchy fried bread tubes and cut $20 off the price for the same taste. Music was loud (and this wasn't even the bar upstairs) and angry depressing sounding type stuff.

Maybe planning to order steak and wearing earplugs would make it tolerable.

My husband and I went Saturday night. It was a last minute decision. I had never been there before. The food was awesome. I had the 6 0z sirloin with roasted potato and broccoli. The steak rested in a wonderful sauce. My husband had a larger steak and the same sides. He was happy with the steak cooked medium well and seasoned very well. I don't usually clean my plate but this time I did. Awesome food and our server was very attentive and made eye contact we he did not miss our need.
