Must be under New Management because this has NEVER HAPPENED....Advertise closing hours at 7pm, I Call to place my order and was informed closing at 6:30pm made it there at 6:20 and was turned away because, I guess the wind blew and they decided to close earlier.....I came ALONG WAY. ..

Their seafood is always fresh, and the dinners are great. My only complaint, is the prices aren't what is advertised online. Expect to pay more than what you see on the online menu.

Went to Mud Bugs at the Loop for first time Thurs. 03.05.2020. Ordered the $5.50 Special Plate that runs all day. 1/2 lb. steamed shrimp, sausage link, new potato chunks and half ear of corn. Absolutely delicious. I loved, loved, loved the flavoring on this plate and plenty of butter to enjoy. I plan to return and order just the side items of sausage, corn and potatoes. Happy with portions and happy to hear of this special on Thursdays. Again, the best thing about the food was the flavorings. Learned of this great deal from friend in water aerobics class at the YMCA. on Downtowner Blvd.

We got some crawfish 🦞 great, they were very nice and gave my wife and I a couple to sample. Then we bought a pound. We are Ohioans And never ate them before. We also bought shrimp 🍤 and scallops. First class service and food 👍

This place is the best we go there almost every weekend for some seafood goodness! They cook it to order so it may take a minute but it's worth the wait! I can't believe the last review how ignorant can YOU be you are only seeing in black and white and racism....? This is 2014 get with the times lady. I am a (black male) lol and when me and the fam go to eat there we are treated like family.

My name is Debra Moulds I entered Mudbugs today telling my husband now great their food was. When I got inside the Loop establishment there was another lady in there. We were both fairly new to Mudbugs. I told her I lived in west Mobile and she said she lived off Grelot Rd in West Mobile also. I got to the counter ordered my food and I noticed a black lady maybe a group of three were escorted out by a white male maybe in his mid to late twenties telling them to get out of the store. I heard one lady said she was involved and he put her out also. I did not pay much attention to it at the time. The girl who later took my order tried to enlighten me on what happened and I told her I did not want to know. Little did I know, I would be next target?

I went ahead placed my order. I placed my order according to the receipt at 3:55 pm. I waited about 20 minutes I approached the counter after watching a lot of people come and go that had entered the establishment much later than I. I asked the guy about my order. One black on the counter said you got your order. I said no I did not get my order. He said let me see your receipt, and I gave it to me. I had another receipt that was in my purse also. Another cook a different black guy came from the back and said you had a large order. It will take a while to steam crawfish and I said I did not order craw fish. Then a white guy with the same yellow shirt that had been rude to the black lady and escorted her out earlier approached me with an order of food.

I opened the order and said I ordered extra onions and 2 extra corns. Can I please have it and he said very rudely you should have looked at your ticket when you ordered. I said I am new here. I showed him my ticket with the 2 corns on the ticket and he said give her back her money in an ugly-nasty tone. I said sir I just want the corn I paid for and he replied you are getting out. He then said go get your credit card. I said Ms. to the short - stocky middle age, white female in glasses Maam I only want what I paid to have, and she said you are getting a refund. I was in shock. I told the white guy in the yellow shirt I pray to God for
your Soul because you are so lost. And then he said go outside and talk to God. I then looked over at a black male. I had spoken to him briefly while waiting on my order. He told me that he had ordered some fried shrimp and fish. He said he got the lunch special. I said wow; I did not know they had a lunch special. He said yes they do. Well this black man was standing at the counter while this was going on and witnesses everything. He (the black male) interjected she just wants what she ordered. I then asked him his name. I got a pen to write it down because it was so surreal I could not detect whether the people were Anti God, Racist, Ignorant or all of those things.

Fast forward to the white guy in the yellow shirt he was refunding me my money and I asked the black man for his name and number because I was going to report it to the owner, and the white stocky female said, aint no sense in askin fur a name I am the owner and nuthin gon happen. I am trying as best I can to repeat her words in the way she spoke them.

I left the store. Told my husband God sent me in that place for a reason today and it was not to buy steamed seafood. It was to report the incidents that happen in Mudbugs at the Loop today. Surely it must have happened many times before. I am a business owner and I have to say that was the worst I have seen in my entire life for customer service. If this story airs the convictions material were the people in the store. I can identify them. They will tell their version of what happened.I have all receipts including the refund ticket to back up the story. My email is debmccor!@aol.com

WATCH YOUR ORDER for STEAMING!! They will add trash shrimp to fill your order and tell you that they come mixed, "if you notice their game". I went to this store and ordered 2 lbs of, $6.99/lb, shrimp and other items to be steamed. The person serving me used a scoop, to get "most of" my shrimp from the bin, to put on the tray for weighing. I noticed that she used her fingers and picked up "tiny trash shrimp", from the front edge of the bin, and added them to my order. I asked to look at the shrimp and told her to take the trash shrimp off and complete the weight with $6.99 lb shrimp. She said that's how they come and the owner concurred. I cancelled my order because I had no plans to pay $6.99 lb for baby shrimp included in my order. Customer satisfaction is not a concern of the owner. Most people probably have not noticed this, but I'm Telling You"! I've eaten food from their store and enjoyed it, but will never spend a half dime there again. I've also gone to the shrimp dock and bought mixed shrimp from roadside vendors and paid much less!
