The burger was served quickly but dry, apparently reheated. The fries were homemade but reheated / refried. Asked the server about the fries, she shrugged she didn't know and still charged me $3 1/2 bucks for the fries which were returned. The wings were excellent, ordered extra crispy and with garlic / butter sauce. Bet the refried beans are great !

Who is that babling idiot below...Alex? Who on earth writes like that other than a paid troll? Anyway....the owner is indeed a bombastic jerk who does nothing but sit on his a&& all day and bark insults to the staff and customers. It's like a morgue in there now.

I was apprehensive to eat in after reading the mixed reviews, but my girlfriend and I decided we would give it a try after a day at the beach. We were greeted with a big smile and a friendly "hello" by the girl working the register. I asked about the guy mentioned in the negative reviews, and the girl politely said he was not the owner and isn't an employee or associated any more. The details and decoration in the place were really impressive. The Burger Shack reminds me of In-N-Out burger meets a relaxed surf/beach theme. I had a outstanding Philly Cheese Steak and my girlfriend had a single shack burger. The special sauce they make is amazing. Great service with great food to match. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Hobe Sound.

It's a shame that a nice casual burger joint with decent food is being ruined by its extremely rude owner. He had the audacity to yell at a paying customer in front of the entire restaurant simply for using one of his own coupons at his establishment. Um, what do you expect?!? If you print coupons for your business and they're not expired, then you have to honor them. Plain and simple. Angry owner must not be doing well financially with this restaurant as why else would he yell at a customer for no good reason. He also treats his staff just as unprofessionally from what we've seen, yelling at them from his office chair in the corner of the dining area. What kind of restaurant owner sits there all day long, making both customers and staff uncomfortable. We're never coming back as the food is not worth the aggravation nor do we want our hard earned money supporting this kind of disrespectful behavior on the owner's part.
