I had a bacon cheeseburger platter. Best burger I have had in awhile.Fries were hot and crispy. Coleslaw was tasty. My husband had a meat lover omelette which had plenty of filling. The only thing is on the menu bacon cheeseburger listed as $8.99. We were charged for speciality burger $12.99. Will recommend but double check bill and prices.

We were seated and our waitress came and asked about drinks. When she returned, I asked her if there were any specials? Her reply to me was, "they are on the board". I then asked if she could tell me what they were, and her response was, "I will have to go write them down, and that will take me a while", and "today is my first day". I went and took a picture of them with my phone. When she returned for our order, I said I would like a chicken,(chicken being the protein of choice) cheese steak. Her reply was, "is that a sandwich". I was flabbergasted by her question. My husband showed her on the menu exactly what I wanted.
I then asked her what came on it, and she had to go ask. She came back and told me "chicken and cheese", I said great that's what I want and may I have a side of marinara with it.
After a few minutes, an older couple were seated behind us. The woman had a cane and the man was on oxygen. We couldn't help but hear the woman ask the waitress about the specials, and I seriously could not believe this waitress told this woman "they are on the board", and walked away to get their drinks. I noticed a different waitress behind us and asked her if she could let the couple know what the specials were. She immediately went over and took her paper with the specials written on it and gave it to the couple.
Soon after our food arrived and low and behold, I did not get a chicken cheese steak, instead I got a beef cheesesteak. At that point, I was totally over this waitress and restaurant, I ate a few bites, my husband ate and we paid and left. We both agreed that she was one if the worst waitresses we ever encountered. Oh, and by the way, we overheard her tell the older couple that she had worked as a waitress up the road, but that place closed, so not a newbie at being a waitress. Just a bad waitress.

Food always comes out cold - their corned beef hash with eggs and home fries was good in the past - ever since new owners food is horrible and place is dirty

I can't see the allure. I love good diner food! This is not. I have tried here several times with an honest desire to love it because it is local. I have had a piece of stainless steel scrub pad in my soup that the waitress picked out with her fingers and was baffled when I asked for a new cup. Stone cold food on several occasions, even when the place wasn't busy and lots of over cooked food as well. Really, really bad food. Nice service but sadly that can't overcome the culinary disasters.

It's a nice friendly neighborhood diner, that makes great efforts to give good service and good food at reasonable prices.
