Went there years ago and have started going again with friends and a large group of men. Everyone raved about the food and it was as great as I remember. Service was great can t wait to go again,

10/15/2022 - I DONT work at Jacks BUT…
Great food and people… sounds to me like McDonalds might be more Debbi and Nikki’s kind of place. They use surgical gloves ( except for the kid on the grill wiping his nose ) . Give it a try . The “Happy Meal” is on me !!! Meanwhile ladies I’ll have my meal at Jacks …..been doing so for years. Yum

Oh and Nikki… you’ve been in the restaurant business for seven years … Ive been going to Jacks for 40 . Do the math!

I have been going to Jacks for many years. Food has always been very good and I continue to go there ! I was surprised by some bad reviews. If you are a snooty person with your nose up in the air, you probably will not be happy wherever you go. So do me a favor and stay home because I don't want to sit anywhere near you while I enjoy my evening

Fantastic place. I have been coming from the west bay for over thirty years. What I do hate is when some hag comes on here and has to bash the place. She probably couldn’t even make a grill cheese. What’s her gripe

I don't know who this Debbie person is but she is the one that is vile and rude. I've been to jacks serval times after being introduced to it by a friend and I love it. The food is great and the servers are wonderful. Shaun my waiter when I wax there last wax fantastic.
Maria is a peach( don't know where you are but not at jacks). She is very nice and she makes great martini's.
As for the kitchen I can't say but all chefs, for the most part , are rude and full of themselves!
I truly feel that you should be careful what you say about this restaurant, ax I've never seen anything like you said in your review!

Really , Thats very well written , im guessing a staff member wrote that . I Worked there years ago and every thing has changed , two of my servers worked for you and told me how joe harrased them and threw hot pans at them and they quit on the spot . Dont think i know whats going on iv'e been going there for years . The servers do Not wear Gloves while making your sald or slcing bread and putting them into the bread bowl , they pick up the carrots , onion , celery , olives , raddish , etc . Even put a straw with no rapper in your drink with there hand that has a lemon wit on it with our bare hands , most establishments have tongs or other items . Maria does not do any thing and she is Vile and sputs down her staff like the rest of the family

I'm writing this review to disagree with the review posted by that "Debbie" person who clearly was not here on 6/14/2013-because I was here last night (6/14/2013) and first of all, there were 2 male waiters, and one of them waited on me, I believe his name was Shaun, he was very personable and made my party feel very welcome. I have been coming here since I was a wee-little-tot, with my family. We all love it here, the food is awesome, and I do have to point out that Jack's has the best steamers around! The owner, Jack Gomes & his wife Brigida, make the spaghetti sauce fresh daily (Not canned or bagged) like half the restaurants I've been to, like chain restaurants. The bartender Maria isn't rude or disrespectful, she makes good conversation with her customers, always has good prices, and I have never been let down. Oh and btw (by the way), Joe the head cook doesn't throw things at "females" or anybody, the waiters/waitresses always wear gloves and wash there hands right when they come into work, and in all my years of coming here, I have never, ever, seen anyone drop a tomato on the ground and "simply wipe it off". Thank you and have a Great Day.Jack's Family Restaurant has been here since 1972 and hopefully will be here for many years to come so that other families like my own can come and enjoy the amazing flavors of the freshly made Portuguese, Italian, American, and the fresh-from-the-ocean Seafood.

Jacks family restaurant is the bomb.There are boy waiters cause I had one wait on me and my family his name is Shaun.Jacks has the best spaghetti and meatballs EVER. Been coming to jacks with my family for over 10years and had never been disappointed. All the servers are awesome. Yes,sometimes we have to what for a table but when the food is good it is worth it (And it is always good). Some people who post some negative reviews are wrong and should keep their opinions to themselves.

Disgusting ! The waiter's are all female and i find one very rude i think her name is judy . My long time friend worked there and told me they touch the bread and salads they give us with there bare hands , ive witnessed them drop tomatos on the floor and simply rinse them off! The staff is horrible Maria is the Bartender and swears and is disrespectful . The Head ched Joe , throws pans at females and i kno this because those two girls now work for me ! This is a disgusting buisness and needs to BE CLOSED FOR GOOD !

I've tried many items on the menu and was never disappointed. Especially like the Veal Parmagiana, steamed clams, pasta, etc.

HORRIBLE! My parents used to frequent Jacks but they hadn't been in a couple years. Well we went tonight and I will never be back and I am
Telling everyone I know to never go here. We arrived at approximately 715 we were ignored at the door for just a few min. Not extreme when we were sat we didnt get a waitress for a good 5 to7 min then she took our drink order and broughtthe drinks back took our order then disappeared. My husband ordered chowder that took about 10 min and it was lukewarm. We had ordered an appetizer that was all fried food and it never came. Finally after 40 minutes of waiting we asked where our appetizer was and she responded with "oh u wanted that first?" umm ya I wantedy appetizer before my meal. Then the table who got there about 15 min after us got there food even before our appetizer. Needless to say we got up paid for our drinks and chowder which is ridiculous and left. No mind you all we ordered in addition to the appetizer was a lousy pound of spaghetti and hour clam sauce 2 meatballs and 2 sausages. I have never had such a bad experience at a restaurant before. I understand it's not totally the waitresses fault but I don't know how this place stays open. I've been in the restaurant business for 7 years as a waitress and manager and i have never seen anything like it. And there excuse was they were short handed but had a bus boy and a dishwasher bringing out dishes from who knows where because there was only 5 tables in the whole place. Save your money go to a real restaurant. And a little advice for jacks.... Close your doors until you know how to run a great restaurant and give excellent customer service!!!
