Kuvachi's was one of our favorite resturants until it changed management. There used to be great,well prepared food in large quanties. Tonight was our second visit since the newbies took over. The servise was great, a very attentive waitress....but the food was awful. Still a large serving, but totally lacking in flavor and character. My wife had the chicken parmasean, and it was a preprepared square of chicken, battered and fried, covered by canned some sort of red sauce. Before it was a real breast,grilled and covered by homemade suace. My meat lover's pasta also tasted like it came straight off the Sysco truck. Save your money and time, go somewhere else.

Generous portions, tasty specials, great desserts....& what a cute atmosphere. Place fills up quickly due to it's size, but that makes it quaint....

Its to bad I can't give it less than one star. I heard good things about it but never ate here until tonight. I should have known to leave when the server told us it would be 10-15 minutes before we would be seated and there were empty tables! When we finally got told which table we could sit at we got a menu, but we were unaware of the fact that half of the food they didn't have any. An hour after ordering we still did not get our food, we got told it was a mix up in the kitchen, no it just wasn't put in by the waitress. Then after being told it wasn't and our food would be out in 5 minutes it took another 15. When the food did come out it was luke warm at best. I don't understand how it took so long to cook since none of it was fresh. Then I asked for a discount for the extremely long wait, they took the drinks off, and brought the tickets back charging the wrong food to the wrong couple. I WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN! And recommend no one else to either

Great food, but WORST SERVICE EVER!!! We sat and waited for a server for at least 15 minutes before we were finally approached. We stayed just because we didn't want to find another place to eat. We then waited an extremely long time for everything including simple drink orders and the waitress was very unapologetic for the extrenely long wait. We then asked for a togo box for our food and was probably the biggest mistake of the night aside from going there in the first place. It took an inordinate amount of time just to get a togo box. Again, food was great but possibly ranks with the worst service I have ever had.

Went there a few nights ago for the first time as I have heard a lot of good things. Both the service and the food were excellent. Was sorry I waited so long to try it. Then, in the middle of our dinner the management actually yelled at the server who had worked so hard at taking care of us. Actually called her a name for everyone in the restaurant to hear. That ruined the whole experience for everyone at our table. I am NEVER going back till Adolph Hitler leaves, and I urge other to do the same.

We eat here about 5-6 times/yr. it Would be more, because every single menu item is great, but a few distractions keep them from being a regular destination. 1st, they rarely have enough wait staff for a full house, I guess the regular waiters get more $$$ that way but the service just goes to helena in a hand basket if it gets full when you are there - and its even worse if you are stuck in the basement dining room. but in a half full restaurant, you'll love every moment. as 2 dessert: if you want a piece of cake to die for, this is the place...but might wanna call before you go, they don't have "mikes cake" all the time. did i mention they can't seem to decide what their hours are, so again, maybe call ahead... So: great food, spotty service when crowded. Final score: b-minus.

The food here is pretty good but the service is the ABSOLUTE WORST I have ever had at any restaurant. Not only are they slow, they are rude and totally unapologetic when they inevitably mess up your order. Don't waste your time.

We have been to Kovachi's 5 times......we have learned to get there early as each dish is prepared to order, so the more people in the resturant.....the longer it takes. But the food is always worth the wait. Had the most scumptious stuffed flounder friday night....it was perfect. When you go..be ready to take some home.....no skimpy portions here. Awesome food, great service, priced right....what else can you ask for??

We ate there last night. I was not very happy about the service at all. We ordered the Spanakopita and it did not come out as an appetizer but came out all mauled because the chief made the dinner portion. We were not charged for it though. Dinner seemed to take a long time to get out and once it did it was just OK. We then waited so long to get out to-go box I ended up getting up and walking to the front to get my own to-go box and then left. We have eaten there before with better service so I am not sure what was going on last night....

Went there for late lunch/early dinner and the food was good. But the service was less than desired, told the person that waited on us that I was not crazy about Greek salad I would rather have a Caesar salad, she said that they do not do substitutions, I said okay but I would still like a Caesar salad. What she brought me was a Greek salad and when I asked why do I have a Greek salad she said I didn’t think you wanted to spend $12 on a salad {FYI its my money}. Then from the kitchen I don’t know who was talking but we heard the FBomb several times and just plain out cussing, I’m not a prude but I have never had that happen in a place I ate before. The only way I’m going back is if someone paying .

we ate at Kovachi's last night and our waitress was Elizabeth Rowan who delivered the best service that I have had at a restaurant in a very long time. Kudos to Kovachi's for employing such a nice young lady.

Great food, generous portions. Dessert to go, delicious but not room. Cakes are amazing.
